But more than anything else, the store's customer satisfaction guarantee is real. Through no fault of Carpet One, we had some hardwoods installed which turned out to have a manufacturing defect. The manufacturer did not stand behind their product, but Carpet One did, and they replaced our hardwoods with a different manufacturer's product at no additional cost to us. It is rare to find a company which has the integrity to honor their guarantee and do what it takes to make sure their customers are satisfied with both their product and service, but this one does. There are several types of flooring you can install over ceramic tile, including vinyl, laminate, engineered wood, carpet, and cork. Alternatively, you could install new tiles on top of your current ones if you enjoy having tile floors but don’t like the look of your existing tiles. However, before laying down new flooring, you’ll need to make sure that your tiles are in good condition. Otherwise, you’ll need to remove them first.

While it’s possible to install carpet yourself, it’s best to hire a local carpet installer to ensure it’s done correctly and safely. Before installing carpet yourself, check whether the manufacturer’s warranty will remain intact. Many manufacturer’s warranties won’t cover the cost of materials under the warranty if it wasn’t installed by a pro. In addition, you should only install carpet yourself if you’re familiar with the tools required and if the installation is straightforward, not involving things such as floor vents or stairs. 

Even if you’re just replacing your carpet and not your baseboards, experts recommend removing existing baseboards before installing new carpet. This allows for a clean and seamless installation without the risk of damaging the baseboards or the carpet. Additionally, removing the baseboards gives you the opportunity to stain or repaint them as well as inspect and repair any underlying issues with the walls or flooring.
