"Dear (removed member name), My sincere apology, and thank you for being so candid and nice in your posted review. I take full responsibility for my Company's failure on your project. We should have been on the phone with you each and every day informing you of the hold-ups. Had we done that, this would have never happened. Again, my sincere apology. Scott Wickstrom"
"Dear [removed member name], Wow a year later! I do not believe this review, we got along so well throughout this project. First of all we were working for your Insurance Company. Secondly, you actually paid our company $2,970.00, this amount was between you and "your" Insurance Company. If you are not happy with your Insurance Co., please take it up with them. This project was no small job: Installed 65' of 4" Sewer from 6 1/2' to 8' deep in a very tight back yard. It took (2) Excavators, (1) Loader, (2) Dump Truck Loads of Bedding Sand & (3) Dump Truck Loads of Topsoil. Hauled off (4) Dump Truck Loads of Rocky Soil with Disposal Fees. Utilizing (8) men over a 10 day period. We placed 3/4" Plywood down over the entire area to minimize damage as well. The amount of hand work in early August heat was more than most people could handle. As for the trees, you were advised of your options; remove them at your expense or dig past them and see if they make it. I thought you made the right decision as the trees were likely to be fine. Again, during this whole process, start to finish, I enjoyed working with you, coordinating, etc.., we got along great. I don't understand why you would intentionally lie and falsify a public review... Maybe it's because it took me a few days to find a special size window well for your 1900's home, (we did find one). Maybe it's because we Serviced your Furnance & Air Conditioner and found a faulty control board which had to be replaced. We charged $434.34 for this work, (have you checked the price of Lenox Control Boards lately)? This is more than fair. Maybe your upset that my Sister In Law, "Family-Related Landscaping Service" who you unfairly expect to give a hard money quote to repair the back yard, when she could have had no idea how much work it would take after we completed our cleanup. Maybe it's all about your Insurance Co. NOTE: This job was in Idaho, [removed member name] resides in New Mexico. Throughout this project, there were No Extra Charges. It is just this type of false, unfair testimonial that keeps good Contractors from being involved with helpful consumer referral sites as Angie's List."
that they and needed and in about 5 minutes they had the toilet clog out and running good. they cleaned up the area and We
paid them and they thanked us for the business and left. Both men were very polite and professional.

Helen at the desk was super nice and helpful. She kept me posted on the arrival time.
Chris came out to the house and was professional and quick.
When I needed some clarification regarding the certification they provided for my lender the following day Scott took care of it right away.
Overall everybody was very straight forward to communicate with. Very nice and professional.
Great custome service even with a seemingly "minor" project.
Will definitely hire them for a bigger project if needed.
To compare performance, during their work the Wickstrom crew reported that my utility's water main and meters were not up to code and the utility sent a heavy equipment crew to replace and repair the substandard fittings. United Water's crew did a great job on the repairs and returned the area of the yard where they were working to original condition.
A few days later, the first time the sprinkler system came on after Wickstrom's repairs, their substandard parts failed resulting in three sprinkler line geysers which flooded my neighbor's yard with three inches of water and left some serious erosion in my lawn.
I called Wickstrom to come repair the sprinkler lines (again) but, after they dug up my yard, fixed only two of the breaks. They took some of the topsoil from the United Water repairs to replace the eroded sections caused by their sprinkler line failure. On top of that they left a 30 inch deep hole where they took the fill dirt and then refused to repair the leak, falsely claiming it was United Water's fault.
United Water came back out, explained to me the line break and demonstrated that it was Wickstrom's work that had failed. United Water went ahead and repaired the sprinkler line, but could not fill the hole (which I don't fault them for, they had already filled it once and Wickstrom's crew took the dirt to fill the other holes their shoddy work had caused.)
When I contacted Scott Wickstrom about all the damage his crew had done to my yard and failed to repair, he was unapologetic and rather than replace the damaged lawn asked if I wanted some more topsoil so I could fix it myself.
I was wholly unsatisfied with Wickstrom's response to the many problems and believe that if they did such a poor job on the visible part of their work I am unlikely to find the underground repairs to be of any higher quality.
I would not recommend these folks under any circumstances, but they are the Boise contractor of record for the Home Guard leak coverage.
If they do show up at your house I would recommend you keep a close eye on their work.
"Wickstrom Plumbing & Heating is a contractor for your water service insurance provider. Please file this complaint with them. Your water service replacement was completed with bore equipment to minimize damage to your nice yard. We are given the option to open trench by your insurance company. Your policy has certain coverage of which i can not detail here. You were required to sign (one) waiver for the line replacement and that was damage to the sprinkler system. We still try to avoid the sprinkler lines and if we hit them we, at times, repair the damage at no charge. Your system was not tested as it was early March and we will not turn on sprinklers until mid April. When you and I talked i offered at no charge to bring any topsoil you may need. Unfortunately you did not call. In hindsight we should have written you directions for your sprinkler man to look for leaks in the excavated areas. That is my fault and i take full responsibility. Scott Wickstrom"
Technicians Chris and Garrett arrived on time and got right to work, repairing our water line, replacing 22 year old sprinkler supply and drain valves, and moving the sprinkler valves from a depth of 6? to 3?. Despite it being a rare rainy day in Boise, they did an outstanding job, working in tight quarters around all landscaping and curbing, and leaving the site looking as if nothing had happened.
Chris and Garrett are two of the most professional, courteous, and conscientious young men I've had the pleasure of doing business with. Helen the dispatcher and Brad the estimator were also first rate. This is a first-class outfit and I will use them for all my future plumbing needs. I highly recommend them.
