Very very poorly. The owner Mike appeared to be taking precise measurements at our home; however, when it came time to install, every one of these measurements were short, leaving noticeable gaps on all sides. There was also a very wrong cut on one of the corners. Wouldn't it be at this point that the company offer up new granite to be cut CORRECTLY at their expense???!
Nope! The gaps were instead caulked by the owner; however the flexible caulk used, did not adhere to either grout nor paint, and although the surround tiling is complete, the awful results remain.
His young installers were clearly inexperienced, but how hard can it be, right?! The owner did not accompany them for this job, and they had no idea where to drill holes for the sink and faucet... yep, that too done incorrectly. Due to these wrong cuts, it became necessary for our plumber to cut through the cabinet drawers in order to connect our water supply! He was no less than agitated that inexperience caused this much damage to beautiful pieces of granite.
Shop around for QUALITY granite shops, folks!

THIS COMPANY’S RESPONSE TO SAVE FACE, IS INCORRECT AS YOU WILL SEE BY THE ADJOINING PHOTOS.
"The gaps around the edges of the granite were easily covered by the tile which is normal for any granite installation"... ACCORDING TO OTHER PROFESSIONALS, THIS IS NOT NORMAL! NEITHER SPACKLE OR GROUT WOULD ADHERE TO THEIR GOOEY FILLER!
"The incorrect corner mentioned was explained to her, and was necessary for the type of installation she received due to the proximity of her cabinetry"... THIS ALSO IS NOT NORMAL… CUTTING A VISIBLE L-SHAPE INTO THE GRANITE!?!
"The hole she mentions for the faucet was placed at her sole direction. It is not at all uncommon to have to modify cabinetry when sinks and faucets are selected that were not intended to be used for the type of cabinet the customer has"... THIS IS ALMOST COMICAL, SINCE THE ONLY PORTION OF GRANITE NEEDING TO BE CUT FOR OUR VESSELL SINKS AND FAUCETS IS MANY TIMES SMALLER THAN THE REGULAR SINKS REMOVED!! HIS YOUNG INEXPERIENCED EMPLOYEES HAD NO CLUE ABOUT WHERE TO PLACE ANYTHING; THEY WERE TOLD THE CORRECT VICINITY, THEN IT WAS UP TO THEM TO INSTALL WITH PRECISION.
"I am very confused by her posting here, as she was very happy and satisfied after my visit to her home"... THE ONLY THING WE WERE HAPPY ABOUT WAS TO BE RID OF THEM.
"we also applied a color enhancing sealer for her granite at no additional cost"... THIS COATING WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A GLORIFIED SPRAY WAX WHICH NEEDS TO BE APPLIED REGULARLY.
"It is unfortunate that (Member name removed) would respond in this manner after almost one year, especially after we made every effort to assure her satisfaction"... I DON’T HAVE TIME ON MY HANDS TO SIT AT A COMPUTER TO FILL OUT FORMS. HAD THERE BEEN GENUINE REGRETS FROM TREASURE VALLEY GRANITE, TO ‘ENSURE OUR SATISFACTION’, OPTIONS WERE AVAILABLE, SUCH AS TRASHING THEIR ORIGINAL POOR WORKMANSHIP TO REMAKE NEW ONES, OR AT THE VERY LEAST REFUND WHAT WE PAID, TO SAVE DIGNITY.
"When TVG received a call from (Member name removed) regarding her granite installation, we immediately went to her home to address the issues. The gaps around the edges of the granite were easily covered by the tile which is normal for any granite installation. The incorrect corner mentioned was explained to her, and was necessary for the type of installation she received due to the proximity of her cabinetry. The hole she mentions for the faucet was placed at her sole direction. It is not at all uncommon to have to modify cabinetry when sinks and faucets are selected that were not intended to be used for the type of cabinet the customer has. I am very confused by her posting here, as she was very happy and satisfied after my visit to her home. For her trouble, we also applied a color enhancing sealer for her granite at no additional cost. We at Treasure Valley Granite strive to please each and every customer. It is unfortunate that (Member name removed) would respond in this manner after almost one year, especially after we made every effort to assure her satisfaction."
