Measurements were taken and we were promised an estimate either the following day (Friday) or Monday of the following week. Monday had come and gone and we hadn't heard a word from Nampa flooring. (It's worth mentioning that an installer from another company also visited us on the 18th and we had their estimate later than night.) We called Nampa Flooring on Tuesday the 23rd and left a voice mail asking about our estimate. As of today, July 29, they have not returned our call.
I called him the following week and left a voicemail. He didn't return my call.
I called him again two days later. He apologized and said they were just swamped. I said maybe they were too busy for a small job like mine. He said he'd hate to say they were too busy for a job. He asked me questions about what kind of floor we had. (I had torn out carpet and he was trying to ascertain if we needed some kind of underlayment.) He was supposed to call back. He didn't call back but he did show up about two hours later. (I wasn't expecting him but he did get to see our floor.)
I appreciate that he came to our house to determine what kind of subflooring we had. I was disappointed that I never did get an estimate. I ended up going to Dillabaugh Flooring in Nampa instead. I got the estimate the same day and our new vinyl is already in.
2012 and talked to a very nice gentleman in the office, he was very
professional and courteous. I had them come out to give a estimate on
replacing the floors in the home, the gentleman that came was also very
nice. I explained that I was having the house painted so it would be a
couple of weeks before I would be having the floors done. Since I had not heard from them,
when i was ready to replace the floors I called and was
transferred to a voice mail, I left a message letting the gentleman know
I was ready to do the flooring and would like the estimate. I never
heard back from them. I was very disappointed with them for not
following through on this and I would not use them in the future. I did
get the floors done and paid much less for the same materials that I had
looked at in their Showroom.
finished to a fantastic conclusion. I
waited to right this review in hopes that Nampa Floor would pull through a turn
the job right which they happily did.
We started our flooring shopping experience by walking into
their floor show room and looking at their great variety of different
floors. A salesman there was great and
answered all our questions. We came back
a week later ready to place our order.
Once the order was placed, we paid 80% then and 20% upon
completion. This is when the troubles
started. It all stemmed from what seemed
to be a bum contractor they were using. He
did not show up when he said he would, sometimes brought his girlfriend along
without really explaining to us who was not hanging around in our house. He was not supposed to reinstall our toilet per
Nampa Floor policy, but did it anyway.
At first, we thought he was being a nice guy. Turns out, it was installed wrong and started
leaking.
Now, we can understand a bum contractor. It happens.
We just wanted Nampa Floor to help correct issues and help resolve some
of our concerns. This entire time we
were dealing with the same salesman who sold us the vinyl.
Our salesman did a great job selling our flooring but seem
to have a hard time dealing with our bum contractor. Our issues and concerns went on for a few
months as we patiently worked with our salesman. Finally, after losing our patience, we called
the store manager and explained what was going on.
The manager was very nice and listened to all our concerns. He promptly made an appointment to see us
personally that same day. We found this
prompt response very refreshing. The
store manager took ownership of the situation and quickly worked to fix the
problems. He even went beyond issues
that were theirs to fix to ensure we were taken care of.
All this was done at their expense. They called in a plummer to reseat the
toilet, replace some air vents even though that was outside the scope of their
work, replaced some edging that was in the house before so it matched the new
edging we just bought from them, and worked closely with us to ensure the
project was done right.
In the end we felt very well taken care of. I feel our experience was a rare one that is
not normal for Nampa Floors. I plan on
going back to them when I need the carpet in my home replace.
Majestic Flooring told us it was not a problem and replaced the tiles and re-grouted, just to have them crack and grout pop again. They then decided it was the floor needing more support. So we had new support put in. The tiles still cracked and popped. After four different "fixes" (being charged for all), I called a few different flooring companies to see if anyone knew what was going on.
Tammy and Morris showed up and dug right in to find the problem. They were able to see that the tile was installed incorrectly and gave us the lowdown on the options we had.
We decided to bite the bullet and have them remove and replace all the tile.
I have never had installers that we so professional and knowledgeable. They kept us updated, helped move appliances, and were committed to do it right. During the install they broke a small area on our wood floor that is in the middle of the tile. They fixed the edge, sanded the floor and refinished the floor.. all on their dime.
It took the exact time that they said it would, there were no extra costs, and it looks fantastic. VERY HAPPY with Nampa floors.
