The rent was rather expensive, but we had to move in a hurry and didn't have time to look for a better deal. I wish we had found the time, because the house was really nice, except for some issues, but it was very difficult to work the owner. She decided to remove some trees from the yard right after we moved in and did not give us advance warning, so we came home one day to a bunch of trucks in our driveway and on our lawn with nowhere for us to park and no idea who was invading or why. Within a month after we had moved out, she still had not returned our $400.00 security deposit, so I sent her a letter requesting the refund. She responded by trying to charge us for multiple things that fall under normal wear and tear or would have already been covered by the $200.00 non-refundable cleaning charge that we paid at the beginning of the lease. We still haven't resolved this issue fully and we will probably end up in small claims court over the matter.
