Upchurch Windows

Grant was great to work with. He replaced 3 windows for us and also cut and installed a new window. The new window was a little higher than we wanted and Grant had no hesitation in fixing this to our liking (a couple inches lower). We also had him install trim around all of our exterior windows; he took the proper precautions to install this on uneven siding (adding backing to trim to make level). He is kind and easy to work with. Would definitely hire again!

The guys did great. They were careful with our things and cleaned up after themselves. The only thing I thought was odd was that they used white caulking for our clay windows on a cream house. It was very tidily done, though.

Grant was great to work with. We had 5 different estimates for windows and did some research, so we had a good idea of what we were looking for. Grant provided a nice bid with details on each window. We did the order and the windows came in exactly as he estimated, and his crew got all the windows installed in one day. We had a few large custom windows too.
The only issue I have is the locking mechanism on the windows is one of the spring loaded latches. It sometimes sounds like it latches but doesn't, so you have to check. Doing it again, I would prefer a manual lock on the window so I know it's secure.

Grant did a great job, communicated well with me on every aspect of the window replacement.  He and his helper installed the windows quickly, with high quality, and they cleaned up afterwards.  I would not hesitate to go to him again (I likely will replace more windows).

Upchurch, Inc. responded promptly to my phone call after we discovered a broken wlndow and within a day arrived to measure the window they called and were on the job within a day. The owner and his son thoroughly cleaned up shattered glass remains of the broken inside pane of large living room window and replaced with new  insulated glass, two-pane, window. Work was done fast and efficiently in about 45 minutes. Their work ethic and professionalism were outstanding!

Grant was great to work with.  He does quality work, is reliable, and his prices  are at fair market.

The contractor was very prompt.  The job was somewhat difficult because six of the windows were second story on a flat wall.  The job went very well.  Mr. Upchurch and his workers were very friendly and helpful.  They even took down some remote control blinds for me that were too high for me to reach with my ladders so I could change the batteries in them.  They put the blinds back up, cleaned up the site nicely, and were done on schedule.  I was having the hardwood floors refinished at the same time so they had to bring ladders into the house through a bedroom to stay off the refinished floors.  They also put up some plastic to assure no debris from the window job fell on the floors with a still-wet finish.
I got three quotes for this project and Upchurch was the least expensive.

We gave him our deposit and the windows arrived right when he told us and he showed up bright and early the day after Christmas to install two sliding glass doors and 6 windows on our tri level home. His attention to detail and no drama install with the assistance of two qualified sub contractors made the install a very enjoyable experience. Grant is awesome to work with and you won't go wrong picking him!

Mr Upchurch went right to work and knew what he was doing.  There was more to the job than either of us had anticipated but that didn't set him back.  He was friendly and did the work well.  As a result, I have asked him for some prices on replacing a few windows.  He was definitely a "find."

Mr. Upchurch was friendly, knowledgeable and gave us the best solution that only required some new parts to the window.  Instead of convincing us to replace our "broken" windows by his company, he sent us to another glass company in town that had all the parts we needed to fix our problem.  His integrity and business practices are top notch.  Our solution was merely $100 dollars instead of a few thousand in new windows.

Mr. Upchurch was professional, polite, punctual, and efficient. He delivered exactly as promised, and the result was great.

Prompt curtious, no complaints

Mr. Upchurch is a pleasant, courteous, efficient workman.  He took out the broken window, and replaced it with a new one. He ordered replacement springs for a second window that wouldn't stay open, and fixed it. Both jobs were completed in less than an hour.

I obtained three estimates.  Grant's price was the best, and he was punctual, polite, and quick working.  I met Grant alone at the house both for the estimate and the window installation.  As a woman, I felt very comfortable and safe.  Grant knew that creating a larger hole for the window would create a great amount of plaster dust, and thoughtfully reinstalled a door we had removed during our remodeling work.  
The B for responsiveness is only because I had to reach out to Grant for updates on timing.  Although he told me the window would arrive from another vendor on a certain day, I did not hear from him for several days after the stated date.  When I emailed him to check in, he responded quickly, but I'm pretty sure the delay would have continued if I hadn't urged him to act.  
That said, I'll definitely hire Grant again when funds allow.

Every step was handled professionally and in a timely manner.  The story is that it was a problem free experience and was completed in less that 2 weeks which includes order and delivery of custom windows.

Inquiry was promptly answered.  Grant Upchurch quickly came by to measure and prepare estimate.  Very polite and friendly person.  Work started exactly at time promised.  Finished promptly.  Also educated me about windows, and answered all my questions.  What a nice guy!
I may have him come back to do other windows.  (After I save some more money).
A very nice experience, unlike some other contractors I have used for other types of work.  The ones I used from Angie's list were definitely better and friendlier than those outside this network.
