From the start Larry took the time to find out what I was looking for in a new roof, and put together a complete package that was first-rate. Many of the other companies I contacted left things out of their bids, like removing the old roofing material, that I then had to ask revised quotes for. Larry's bid included everything up front and reflected the quality job he wanted to do. Larry also worked with me to schedule the job at a time that worked for me; I had some prep work to accomplish prior to them coming out. When it came to the install itself, Caleb and the rest of the crew did a great job. The job took almost thre days; at the end of each day they left things clean, tidy and ready to go for the following day. They took the time to do things right, and the roof looks great as a result of their hard work. I don't see having any problem getting 30 years of life from the new roof they installed. Larry stopped by early the following week to look things over in person and address any concerns I might have had about the job, which shows his commitment to his customers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Larry and Intermountain Roofing based on my experience.

Larry Nichols & his crews of men are outstanding.  There is no one in the roofing (or any other) trade that is more honest, fair and straight-forward!!!!

We inherited (from original owners) a concrete tile roof that was improperly installed.  This showed up in leaks and water damages.  Another roofer helped identify the problem --- although in multiple steps & at much, unnecessary cost.   Ice & water shield was not properly applied, tiles were incorrectly spaced, hip tiling was not sealed against the weather, flashings were insufficient & incorrectly installed, etc.  We interviewed approximately six companies before meeting Larry.  None of them wanted to reinstall the roof but rather wanted to tear it off & install either asphalt shingles or new tile --- at very high prices.

Larry quickly saw the problem, made a very reasonable & rational proposal.  The job took approximately 3 weeks but the roof now is secured 100% by ice & water shield (no funky tar paper), has proper spacing, hip joints that are sealed (NO ONE ELSE EVEN KNOWS TO DO THIS), double ice/water on edges, plus full drip edging, secured flashings, etc.  We have now enjoyed 3 1/2 yrs of peace of mind knowing that this roof will not leak.

Just before Christmas in 2014 we observed peeling of sheetrock/paint at the interior corner of a skylight.  First, the original owners/architect s/never have installed skylights in a western-facing skylights.   There are only a few days in winter where this could be helpful.  The rest of the time, the skylights are heat or cold sinks and subject to expensive wear on their blinds/motors and  inevitably lead to water leakage as skylight lens seals deteriorate.  Again, Larry astutely recognized the issue.  Coordinating with our contractor, he & his crew removed the skylights, installed new sheathing and tiles in several hours.

In both cases the crew also did a good job of clean-up.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND LARRY!

Without a doubt, the experience with Intermountain Roofing was excellent. However, the clean up of the old staples was not as good as it could have been. That was our only complaint. Everything else was first rate!

Larry gave us a bid in a timely fashion and put us on his schedule. When he got to us, he called and gave us about a week's notice at which time we firmed up the details. He gave me the contact name and address of his supplier so I could go view samples and choose a color. His crew showed up on time the first day and started working. They worked non-stop for 2-1/2 days to get the job done. At the end of each day they cleaned up all the trash, including picking up all the nails and staples from the lawn and around the house. We were really impressed with the work ethic and professionalism of the crew. We now have a beautiful new roof that we know will be the last one we have to get. Thank you Intermountain Roofing for a great experience.

They were punctual, very professional and friendly. They were very good with what they did. They cleaned up after themselves.
