Interior Re-Dzyn & Staging

Overall the project went well.  We have few contractor issues and Gale was very committed to the project and spent many hours reviewing options from vendors for us.  She made the selections that worked very well and made the project a complete success.We are very happy with Gale, her taste, feel for color and work ethic. She is very reasonable with her fee structure and goes beyond expectations.

Gale was fabulous, we have worked with her for almost a year.  She has wonderful taste and feel for color, she was wonderful to work with.  She made many special trips to suppliers to look for samples and provide us suggestions for our family room and kitchen.  We highly recommend her for interior design work, you won't be disappointed.

Gale was as usual awesome. She knows exactly what you like and want but also keeps you where you should be. You couldn't ask for a better decorator. She is the best problem solver! My whole family loves her!!!

Gale was invaluable in helping us with a vision for what we wanted for our home.  She guided us through choices of colors, fabrics, floor coverings and furniture selection.   The thing I like best is that she is a great listener and doesn't try to drive the agenda.   She is very attentive to our lifestyle and found beautiful furniture that blended splendidly with the color palette.  We would have foundered without her guidance.  Her rates are extremely reasonable.

Finding Gale was seriously the biggest blessing we could have asked for.  Had my partner and I been on our own, we probably would have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on furniture that would have not ended up fitting the space properly or matching the style we were hoping for.  Gale spent lots of time helping us with our vision for the home and then assisted us throughout the process with shopping trips, researching things online, responding to emails, etc.  She was beyond helpful and I can't thank her enough because we absolutely LOVE our new house and how it is all coming together.

Gales helped us realize the big picture along with the details. This project was for a rehab house we were doing. It was built in 1947 and we needed to make sure is came off without a hitch. The color choices were perfect.

Gale was helpful and enthusiastic.  She offered new ideas yet appreciated the historic aspects of the house and the current decorating.  She gave us new ideas about how to decorate a room and what to keep and get rid of.

Her first visit was at the end of October, and after just being there a few minutes our contractor was calling her the "room whisperer."  And that's the perfect title for her.  She walks into a room, and she sees how it should be.  And she can describe it, and best of all she can help you attain in.

In hindsight, we wish we had her when we were drawing our architectual plans, but she came in at the right moment for us and helped us make some critical designing issues.  As a result I got a bigger pantry, more wall space, and the perfect front door entry.

Then when it came time to pick wall colors, drapes and carpet we had a lot fun shopping for these items.  And she was prepared.  She'd done some previous research, so for me it was a snap.  I loved all her ideas and the whole project has turned out perfect.

With curtains and carpet picked, she spent a day with us hanging the curtains and arranging furniture.  We just love this new space, and without her it wouldn't have had any character or warmth.

I was very nervous to have professional in my home for the first time. Gale put me at ease right away. She helped me choose a paint color for my family room. It turned out great and my family loves it! We split our time together into two separate visits. On the second visit we hung pictures and chose more paint. Gale is enthusiastic and fun to work with. I am so glad I got out of my comfort zone and called her.

Gale is an expert and loves what she does. She helped us a lot, since neither of us is a good visualizer. From the moment we met Gale, we were comfortable with her and her approach. Definitely consider using this company for redesigning, updating, staging, or finishing off your home!

Working with Gale was a wonderful experience.  She is a down to earth professional that relates to her customer's needs, providing guidance and creative ideas.  She handles both the "big jobs" (paint color choices, window coverings, furniture purchase, floor covering selection) and "small jobs" ( selection of towels, placement of accessories, hanging pictures and light fixtures) with equal attention to detail and enthusiasm.  She can do it ALL!

I called Gale because she had so many positive reports on Angie's List, and I was very confident she could meet my needs. I certainly was not disappointed! She was able to come over later that very same day and got right down to business helping me with my remodel/redecorate plans.
     We live in a home built in the mid '90s, so it's isn't terribly old but it has never been upgraded or had anything other than "builder's basics".  I told her that we wanted to update, and she had lots of terrific ideas but got them across to me without imposing her own values and tastes on me.  She also told me what to do first, second, etc. and that has been VERY helpful in scheduling the work to be done.
     After Gale got home she emailed me a list of workers and contractors she's worked with, so I feel confident I'm making good choices and not just guessing.  One of the people she recommended (an interior painting company) came over to give us an estimate and we were VERY impressed with them too, and have since hired them to go ahead with the whole-house interior painting.
     I love working with Gale because she continues to be available - she encouraged me to call her or get together so that she can help me in any way whatsoever - from paint colors to fabric, to window treatments, carpeting, artwork, whatever.  I'm sure Gale will be in my live for a long time and I'm so thankful I found her!!

Gale told me to make a binder of colors, kitchens, bathrooms, and fixtures that I was attracted to so when she arrived in Sacramento, it would save a lot of time.  We made a priority list and the items we needed to look at so our shopping trips to the various stores were successful.  My binder turned out to be my bible and I constantly referred to it.  The whole remodeling and redecorating was seamless, and my husband and I could not be happier with the final project.

We just purchased a house and wanted some ideas about what we might do to personalize our new home.  Gale first visited us at our current home to see our furniture and art work and find out what we plan to bring to the new house.  Then we all went to the new house so that Gale could see the layout and help to envision how to design our new home.  She recommended painting the walls as the entire house is white.  We also talked about changing the lighting, fixtures & cabinet hardware to better fit our taste.  We also talked about new window treatments and she recommended one or two merchants.  Generally, Gale starts with an initial consultation (1.5 hrs for $100) and then offers to assist in creating your new vision.  After the initial consultation, she bills her time at $20/hr for more planning or shopping.  We had planned to replace the window coverings and replace the closets, but her suggestion to paint the walls was very helpful.  It took some time for Gale to get back to us with painters, and we had already had 4 people out for estimates and chosen The Painters.  We may contact Gale again after we have moved in, but have not decided for sure.

Excellent. The homeowner started out by telling me she may get emotional. She was very overwhelmed and had a "bad" experience with a previous Realtor making her feel "insulted" and "not good". She said she knew she needed to do quite a bit of work. Gale, the homeowner and I worked for 5 to 6 hours going through every room in their home getting it ready to put back on the market. The homeowner was very excited as she saw the first room come together. She ended up with a large list of items to complete and feels great about the items on the list. From a Realtor's perspective, Gale is a great partner to have. She makes my clients feel very much at ease and still relays important information to the homeowners, in a non confrontational way, to get their property in the best condition to show it to potential buyers. By the end of the time together, my homeowners felt like they had found a new friend...very opposite from their previous experience. When I called the homeowner the next day, she was still very excited about everything and also didn't feel overwhelmed as she now knew what needed to be completed. I'd highly recommend Gale as a stager and a designer. She's made our clients feel great and the property looks awesome!

Gale went with me to my cabin in Round Valley and advised me on a remodel of my main floor due to water damage from a broken pipe. She did an outstanding job finding out what 'look' I was after and then proposed a good fit for paint, flooring, cabinets, and counter tops. She took into consideration my existing furniture and motif and then helped me decide what would work the best to bring it all together. She also took it upon herself to make an extra trip to see how the paint job went and reported back with her findings. If you are doing a remodel or if you are selling your house, I highly recommend that you give Gale a call. She will give you options and solutions that will fit in your budget and you will find that her service is well worth it.

We had never used a stager before. We were a little leery as we didn't think someone could make that big a difference in the presentation of our home. Wrong!! Gale came in and walked through every inch of the home before making suggestions and assessments. We told her not to hold back and to be direct and honest. She was both of those, yet had a wonderful demeanor about her. She made us feel that this was not about her ego but about how our home will be perceived by prospective buyers. Some rooms simply needed a rearrangement. Others needed additions of things we had in other rooms. While yet some others needed a couple of simple purchases to bring everything together. All told, we spent VERY little for the small detail items that we didn't have (i.e. accent pillows, wall picture, plants) and COMPLETELY changed the feel and look of our home. We had heard horror stories of how some stagers had tried to get their clients to rent furniture from them, etc. One friend spent over $1,000 on a stager and needless things suggested. Gale found things from around our home to stage rooms as opposed to asking us to rent or purchase things needlessly. She saved us big money because of this. Gale utilized our own items to bring out colors, etc. and bring all of the rooms together in ways we would have never considered. Our home is staged much better than the $1,000 home and we spent considerably less. In fact, because my wife and I don't have the "design gene", Gale got in my car with me and actually went on the shopping trip with me! She did this at no cost! She was cost-conscious the entire time, and like I said, we spent very little in the end to completely transform our home. After we finished acting on her recommendations, a couple days later (it took time to move the furniture, etc.), she came back to check her creation and offer final "tweaks". Again, at no additional cost! We didn't realize how beautiful our home was until Gale came in and did her magic! In fact, when we looked at our MLS listing online, we commented, "wow, we want to live there!" To prove my point, we are considering flying Gale to Colorado once we purchase our new home to help us with the initial set up. She is that pleasant, and most importantly, that good!

Gale Napier has the highest level of professional commitment and integrity I have encountered. Her projects are completed when she says. And her designs aren't locked in place, as I've accumulated and/or deleted pieces. She's available for consultation and this room or that area is enhanced, yet again. She mentors. She shares her knowledge and expertise throughout the re-design process and her education and training about the "why's" and the "why not's". Re-Dzyn has the ability to focus on my individuality and, creatively and with a sense of humor, implement design principles, balance, color and style.
