It started out okay, the contractor appeared to be diligent and knowledgeable, but we quickly concluded that contractor was not experienced in the area of work. In addition:
i) irrigation heads were randomly placed,ii) inappropriate heads were used,iii) certain areas (grass, shrubs & trees) requiring water still do not receive water (we will have to retain another contractor to install in one zone and have already incurred money installing drips in another zone that the contractor did not address),iv) one zone encompassed two areas where completely different water consumption occurs (full sun plants and full shade plants on same watering zone),v) telecomm cable was severed,vi) new plantings were lost because contractor had turned off water for nearly two weeks (we had informed him via email and verbally that plantings would be planted),vii) contractor would not return phone calls and emails issued by us in an attempt to resolve the issues and problems.
We have withheld a small percentage of monies based on the foregoing and now he is threatening to lien our house.
