As for the maintenance of the furnace and air conditioner, the work was done quickly enough and as near as I can tell and from the statement description the work was comprehensive.
Before that visit, when I arranged it, I asked for a bid for central humidification. When the workman did the maintenance I asked again. Soon I received a visit from the person who would bid, and we talked it over standing by the furnace. He went away promising to call, and did with an estimate of just shy of $600. I said to go ahead and expected a call to schedule. However, a workman arrived unexpectedly and the work proceeded. The workman was professional and personable. The installation was completed.
At that pont I was presented with the written bid/proposal stating the number as we had discussed. A surprise was that they wanted to be paid right then and there. Happily I was in a position to do that. I thought having the proposal presented for approval after the work was done a little unprofessional, but as the proposal corresponded with the oral bid, that was not critical.
I am accustomed to paying for things within a 30 day billing-payment cycle, which permits financial arrangements when details are known. I was surprised to be presented with an a agreement to pay on the spot. Happily I had received adequate funds the day before.
I intend to use their services again as needed.
