"Our apologies you are unhappy with the cost of out of town service. We would have absolutely given you a rough cost had you contacted us prior to scheduling. Your house cleaner scheduled the service, which we have serviced for many years past Kooskia, ID, and is roughly aware of the cost in her area. When you called after receiving the service invoice, I explained the charges further, although it would have served better to have the conversation prior to scheduling. We provided the service in good faith and did not mislead or misinform. We are unaware of any licensed applicators in your area, but do suggest calling around and interviewing providers that may have a larger clientel in your area to mitigate the cost to serve. We wish you well."
"Per contract, we built a natural stone, dry stack wall around an existing tree. As time progressed, some areas of the wall had shifted at ground level. We dismantled sections of the wall to find very shallow, aggressive tree roots growing at the base of the wall causing movement. This was brought to the attention of the homeowner. As agreed, we removed the existing dry stack wall and rebuilt a mortared wall using the same stone. We were prompt in providing the service on schedule and made it very affordable to the customer - we charged a fraction of actual cost for labor & materials to change the type of wall constructed. Unfortunately, the tree may continue to prove problematic."
"I pre-scheduled a meeting with the homeowners for final walk through and to provide the invoice - [Member name removed] did not make the appointment, although I provided the invoice to Mr. [Member name removed]. Additional work had been ordered by the homeowners on site and they were billed appropriately. [Member name removed] didn't contact me with any concerns, rather she posted on Angie's List instead. I immediately went to their house and spoke with [Member name removed] addressing all concerns within the post and explained all fees to her - costs increase when additional work is requested. She appreciated my efforts and explanations and told me she would like me to bid some future work. Additionally, she said she would remove her negative post from Angie's List. As a good gesture and courtesy, I fertilized their lawn at no charge. She did not remove her post as she told me she would. I'm unclear if it was an oversight or intentional. We provided good service in good faith."
