I wish it could be like the 5 star reviews or the example below. Seems we were the only ones with a bad experience. **Dalton called and was very friendly and made an appt to come out to clean our many farmhouse windows....that had not been done in awhile....! I told him we had high windows on the 2nd floor and he said he had a long pole and ladders and that they do the windows the 'old-fashioned' way, which was a spray bottle, squeegee, and cloths. **35 windows, 2 floors, including enclosed front porch with 8 4x4 windows, Lv Rm-2 lg triangle windows high up under vaulted ceiling, 2 bay windows (lg 4x5 center, 2 2x5 on sides) 1 in liv. rm, 1 upstairs bdrm. Lg kitchen window (4x5 center, 2 2x5 ea. side). So a lot of windows. His estimate was $400, but when he saw there were cobwebs around some of the edges on the upstairs windows, he said he could not do those. We saw no ladders or long pole. He also would not work on the bdrm bay because of bees....understandable. My husband said there were not many and he would cut the lilacs down (this was fall, so no flowers) so he could reach the bay window. **So only the insides were done on the 2nd floor and 2 long, narrow ones missed. Only the insides of the living rm windows, no outsides done, except on the sunroom/deck. Kitchen ok. sunroom ok. counted 11 upstairs not done outside, 2triangles not done at all. Porch: 8 4x5s not done at all until I asked the other man to do the inside. He only did 1/2 of them inside. **counted 11 upstairs not done outside. **I would gone over all that needed doing, once they were here. They were catching us on their way home from another job in another town, and said that they were charging travel. ??? Never had that charged before. **2 young men; about 1 hr late; 35 windows, 14 not done in or out (except when I asked one to do my art room on the inside; no pole or ladders; charged travel time though they were on their way back to their base; only here from 2:30-3:30; were in a hurry it seemed, to leave, AND charged us $500!. I was so surprised I could not even think that we should have had them go through the house room by room before they were gone. Dalton said he gave us a deal because it should have been about $550. Again, shocked and forgot to get a receipt but had the check! So those were our faults for sure. Lessons learned even at our ages, 79 and 84! **I get irritable whenever I look at those windows and realized how we were taken and how stupid I would been. Maybe I should just have had them power wash the outsides! I guess dusty farmhouse windows, though my husband had power washed much of the house (not the windows....though we should have!) a few days before, are not what they were used to. **I could not recommend them for windows. Some were fine others a little spotty, too much money for too little done. We should probably have done the ones they did on the main floor ourselves. I was so looking forward to looking out clean windows on our pastures with sheep grazing. I realize now that we are probably on Home Advisors black list as customers, but it is what it is....and we did learn a lesson we'd forgotten! It is too cold now to get someone else to do them, but spring's coming...eventually and there are other window washers. **
