We approached Curb King to install concrete curbing at our home based on recommendations from neighbors. However, it was difficult to schedule a time for them to come out to give a quote for the work because they were so busy. We ended up sub-contracting to them through our general landscaping contractor. The quality of the work they did was poor. The lines they followed for installing the curbing were very uneven and inconsistent, and in some cases, they left huge gaps between the grass line and the curb. We selected a color for the concrete, but the color turned out nothing like the picture that was shown to us. After installation, they immediately sprayed the curbing with a sealer. They got the sealer all over portions of our grass (which killed it in those areas), on a couple of spots on our house, and on the decorative rock we had just had installed in the mulch beds. The curbing dried with splotches all over it, and the final color was very uneven. Overall, it looked terrible after they left. Our landscaping contractor looked at it and had them rip it out. To Curb King's credit, they supposedly paid the difference between what they were charging and what another higher-priced curbing contractor had quoted to do the work. We ended up having the higher-priced contractor finish the job, and we are much happier.
Description of Work: Installed ~240 ft of colored concrete curbing around mulch beds in yard.
