Lyle promised my landlord that the work would be done and the building would be ready for me to occupy to get my inspections done by 9/12/2012. When I walked in on that date, Lyle hadn't even been in the building at all. I spoke with my landlord, who called Lyle, and then I was promised that the building would be ready on 9/20/2012. On that date, I walked in, and some of the sinks had been moved to where they would eventually belong, but the plumbing was not installed, flooring was not done, basically NOTHING had been completed. I spoke with my landlord again, and then I was promised that the building would be ready on the 24th (cutting it very close for my health/fire/building inspections). On the 24th, the fixtures were finally installed, with the exception of one, but painting, baseboards, trim was still not completed. I spoke with the landlord again. . . . The land lord called Lyle and was told, "The reason that I haven't put the baseboards on is because I am waiting for paint to dry."- But when I explained to my land lord that that was not true because Lyle hadn't painted, he was caught in his lie. 10 minutes later, I recieved a call that Lyle would have the painting done and baseboards on by Friday the 28th- (Today) and when I just went in there, he had finally painted, but he packed up his tools and said that he would not be doing any more work. Since our land lord lives out of state and has to be back home tomorrow, he had no time to complete the work and asked me if I would complete the work myself. I really don't have a choice because the health inspector will be back on Monday to RE-inspect and make sure the work was completed. And since Lyle has decided to go Moose Hunting instead, I guess I know how I'll be spending MY weekend!
