Everything was smooth, on time and professional. The windows look great. I am honestly not sure how price competitive they were because I did not call anyone else. They were highly recommended by our realtor who has worked with them before.

Came over and gave a bid on a window. Ordered the window and then when it came In they called for an appointment to come over and install it. They were on time, courteous, clean. They did the work quickly, but completely. They did a terrific job.

I had some water damage in my master bathroom. To fix the problem, I needed to have two large, solid glass panels that made up one wall of my shower removed. I would consider myself an advanced do-it-yourselfer, but these panels were too large and fragile for me to move myself. The panels were about 3' x 6 ' and very heavy. I just wanted them removed from the bathroom, and I had set aside an area in my basement to have them stored.
My usual glass company was not available for 3 weeks, so, despite a previous negative review on Angie's List about Valley Glass, I hired them to remove the panels because they could do it on short notice.
I was quoted a price of approximately $130 over the telephone, but was warned several times it was only an estimate because they were only going off what I was describing to them on the phone. My appointment was set for 3 days later, at 0900.
The technician called the next day and asked if he could come the evening prior to my appointment. He was working in the area, and thought my job would be a quick one and would like to do both while he was there. I said that was fine, and rearranged few things on my schedule so I could be home to let him in.
The technician called back the next day, and again asked if he could come early. I said it was fine. He said he would call when he was on his way.
He never called. And never showed up early.
The next morning, my appointment was at 0900. I had made arrangement to work from home until lunchtime, figuring that would be plenty of time, even if they were running behind or ran into problems.
At 0930, they called wondering what time our appointment was at. When I told them it was at 0900, they said they were on another small job, and would finish it up and then be right over. They finally showed up at 10:30.
The job itself only took them about 15 minutes. I had done as much prep work as I could beforehand, and basically all they had to do was remove some screws, break a caulking bead, and then lift the panels out. They didn't seem to struggle or bat an eye, a pretty small job for them.
The technician told me, and here I am quoting "We are going to knock it down to $85, but we are going to gouge you when we do the reinstall later." He said it with a smirk, and having never met him before don't know if he was kidding or what. We had only briefly discussed reinstalling the glass in very vague terms, and there were certainly no commitments made. He was very presumptuous in assuming that I was going to rehire him to install the glass. He built on this by measuring our shower opening, the hinge openings and other hardware and making notes on the receipt so I could order new hardware through him when I was ready.
Although they completed the work as required, I was very turned off by how assuming he was. Coupled with his lateness, and the gouging comment, I will never do business with these guys again, nor recommend them to anybody. I would rather pay a little more and be wowed by their professionalism.

It took two weeks to order the windows but they were installed on time and within budget. I would highly recommend them for any one who wants to replace their windows. Very professional and proficient.

They were willing to try to get it done when I needed it done. They worked with me on the cost.

I contacted Valley Glass in Idaho Falls, Idaho. On May 3, 2011 a representive of Valley Glass came and inspected the window. We were told "they will get back to us".
We called again on May 5, 2011 and May 11, 2011. They still had not done anything to contact the window company, which is Amsco Windows.
On May 17, 2011 I called and got a recording, saying "We open at 8:00 am" It was 8:09 am and no one answered the phone, so I left a message. I called again later that morning and I spoke to Susan, and she said "I have a pile of work on my desk, and I guess it is buried". She assured me she would research the complaint and get back to me. I never heard back.
On May 18, 2011 I again called in the morning at 8:06 am and again heard they message that they open at 8:00 am. I called again at 8:09 am. I called again at 8:11 am. I left a messsage at this time. I told them how long I had been trying to get someone to answer the phone. I asked that the Manager call me. I never received a return call from them.
On May 20, 2011 I called again. I spoke to Becky. I had asked for Susan, but Susan was "out to lunch". Becky said she would have Susan return my call. I did not recieve a return call from Susan.
May 23, 2011 I spoke to Becky. She told me she is now incharge of warranty. She said she would research the problem and call me before the end of the day. She did return my call, but it was to tell me she wasn't able to find out anything.
I called Valley Glass again on May 30, 2011. I spoke to Becky. She said "I have been bawling and crying to people all morning trying to get some information. Trust me, I have been crying all morning". I asked her who she had been calling. She named a different window company than Amsco. She had not even called the right company. I asked Becky if I could please be given the phone number to Amsco and I would find out about the warranty. Becky replied "Oh no, they would just refer you back to us". She assured me she would be working on our complaint more throughout the day.
In the afternoon of May 30, 2011 I recieved a phone call from a company reguarding our window. IT WAS THE WRONG COMPANY! Becky still had not contacted the correct people.
As of today, June 2, 2011 we are still waiting on Valley Glass to just tell us if the window is covered on the warranty. That doesn't sound too hard to me.
I would NEVER recommend Valley Glass in Idaho Falls, Idaho to anyone!
