KVO CABINETS INC

KVO was hired by my contractor to install our cabinets. They have said they will be out for 4 weeks and have still not installed the cabinets. We are now 4 weeks behind schedule because we are waiting for the to come install the cabinets. We have been lied to over and over again about dates that have not been met. They have violated my trust and I can not believe the schedules they give out.

House renovations began in March 2016. After initial contact and measurements were taken, Contractor kept getting the run around about when the cabinets would be ready. The 'story' was that the owner had hurt his back so was behind on installations. The contractor was told the cabinets were ready, but could not get a commitment on an installation time. In early summer, when I arrived in Idaho Falls, he took me to KVO so I could try and get a better idea of what time frame to expect for actual installation. The owner was very excited to share how he had just gotten back from a couple of weeks hiking in the back country, and how great it felt since his recent weight loss. However, because of his back trouble, he was behind on production so my cabinets would be at least two more weeks. Soooo- it turns out none of my cabinets had been made after all. "Two weeks" became a familiar theme over the rest of the summer- when we could get a call back at all. Unless I (or my contractor) physically went to the shop to find an actual person, 99% of messages went unanswered. Measurements on one cabinet were lost twice, first by a worker, then by the owner; who stood in my kitchen, looked me in the eye and told me that he had to push my (already months late job) down on his list because he had to finish a series of new construction houses- jobs he took AFTER he committed to making my cabinets. I estimate that more than a dozen promised deadlines came and went until we finally got our cabinets installed in late Sept. Of course, the installation guys had an invoice ready to leave with me that day. Maybe the production people could take a few lessons from the prompt work of the billing people. I have never been so glad to be done with a business. If price and end product is your ONLY concern, then KVO is a fine choice. If getting your cabinets within a 'promised' time frame, and honesty and integrity of the owner is of value, I would look elsewhere for service.

My husband and I have never built a new home or had a kitchen remodeled before. We didn't know what the process should be for tearing out the old kitchen and installing the new one. To save money, my husband and I tore out the cabinets, four layers of flooring, a drop-down ceiling, and a wall. After the new drywall and texture, electrical outlets, lights and flooring were put in, we finally finished painting. KVO delayed building the cabinets and the installation until we were ready for them.
I worked primarily with Adrian Gomez who answered my questions, made suggests, and helped me with changing the kitchen layout (I revised it multiple times), selecting cabinets/drawers, counter tops, and hardware. Adrian was also great with coming up with solutions to problems that we encountered. I went into the office many times, and I was treated with courtesy and respect. The staff at KVO was great to work with and made the whole experience much easier than it might have been.
I have had my kitchen cabinets for about two months and have received many complements.

KVO's cabinet guys were very professional and it was evident customer satisfaction is a priority to this company. I am very pleased with the quality of the work performed. When the cabinet guy was done, he called to make sure everything met my approval and to let me know the laminate guy would be there to finish up the next day. My cabinets are beautiful and look brand new! The laminate installation is perfection! Many guests in my home think it's real granite! I could not be happier with the work KVO did! My kitchen was a smaller job, but you can see pics of the high end work they do on their Facebook page.

Estimator came out and talked about what we wanted for size and design. They emailed us a plan which we then tweaked to exactly what we wanted. Went to the shop and picked out our wood and finishings from samples. Unit was installed a few days later than original estimated, but is just beautiful and well made. We had a difficult time finding what we were looking for in any area furniture stores and also catalogs. The installation crew was friendly - came back the next day to drill a couple more cord ports into the unit at our request. It was overall a good experience.
