Window Service, Hardware & Home Improvement Stores
I walked into the store to grab some new light switches and paint for my house and it took about 35 minutes of trying to flag down a sales rep who wasn't doing anything but smiling and walking right by me as i try to ask him a question. This happens almost every time i go into the store to get any sort of item. The service was lousy at best but the check out times were fast so thats a bonus.

Still waiting!! We contacted Home Depot for a quote on July 15th and they were very prompt with sending someone to look at our damaged sliding glass door and basement window. We weren't excited about the quote for the door--as the cost was only $100 less than what we paid for the entire door and we only needed the section that slides. Unfortunately we couldn't buy a replacement directly from the manufacturer and decided to make the special order. The quote for replacing an old steel frame basement window was reasonable and we prepaid over $800 for the order with the information that the new door section and window would arrive in 2 weeks. My husband called August 17, but was told the items had not yet arrived but should be in the following Monday. We never received a call from Home Depot, so on Aug. 31st we visited the store. Our replacement door was there--not sure why no one called to tell us-- but it was damaged. It had been shipped with no protection and was scuffed with some paint stripped from the handles. With as much as we paid, we didn't want to accept any damage. Customer service wanted us to wait another 3-4 weeks for a replacement. Thankfully, a sympathetic employee agreed to swap it out for a stock door and complete the exchange internally. Our window is ready, but still no contact from Home Depot and no appointments (as of Sept. 4) for installation. I am considering cancelling the rest of the order and offering my business to someone else. Not sure if they will accommodate because I don't know if the window is a unique size. I guess Home Depot is too busy. I have shopped at Home Depot for years and have never had a problem. I won't stop shopping there, but will probably not order services from them again unless I hear of changes and positive reviews.

Window Service
They did a nice job putting them in. I'd give them an A. They put in four windows for us. Home Depot did follow up with us to make sure we were satisfied with the work, and they cleaned up perfectly afterwards.

The store associates who helped me were very helpful and took me right to the stuff I needed. Their prices were really good. They were very professional.
