About us

Honesty has built our reputation since 1985. We are a family business started originally by my father, now run by myself and my uncle, with over 100,000 completed repairs. We GUARANTEE lowest prices and the BEST quality work available, with all repairs backed by our warranty. For non-trivial jobs, we charge an up-front check-out fee of $20 to $40 (depending on whether the unit to be repaired is home grade or professional, a computer, Plasma, LCD, normal TV, stereo, VCR, DVD Player, etc.) This charge is subtracted from the final bill if the estimate on the repair is okayed, once the repair is completed. Call or stop by to speak with a technician about your repair for honest answers. We offer in-home service on few repairs, but also pickup and delivery within approximately 20 miles; call for info. on fees, etc. We service most all electronic devices from every brand - if it isn't listed in our profile, please call or stop by for information regarding service rates and availability. We also sell TVs and other electronics, fully repaired, including our parts and labor warranty. Some trivial jobs will be taken care of at no cost, at our discretion. Examples of this are simple things like automotive remote fobs with broken battery tabs or dirty button contacts, or minor soldering-only jobs. We also try to help with home-DIY projects or repairs, so feel free to give us a call for any job, big or small.

They were GREAT!! I had to drive my tv out to them, I'm 90 minutes away. I was going to call first but they didn't open till 9:30 am and I could be there by 10 if leaving early from home. They were kind enough to do the repair immediately so I didn't have to make another trip out to get the tv. They did already have an idea what the problem was. They charged $40 up front for the initial inspection and that amount was then deducted from the total bill. They gave me an estimate of $125-$150. Total bill was around $145 -the $40=$105. Totally recommend these guys. Plus they were very friendly :)

The folks at Burtenshaws told me that they would check the tv for me while we were in Idaho Falls (we had driven up from Pocatello). They charge $40.00 but would deduct that from the repair bill if they fixed the tv. Within 2 hours, they had checked the tv and explained that this particular model of Samsung tv had been a problem from the beginning and that Samsung had discontinued both that model and making parts for it. I asked if they could try to find a part and try to repair it, if it would be cost effective. They kept the tv at my request and did their best to find a part. They got back to me very quickly and said that there was a used part, but it would not have a very long warranty, I asked them to forgo repair and I picked the tv up. They could have told me anything and done a stop-gap repair that would not have lasted, but they were very honest. I highly recommend them. They really do know their business and their integrity is something you can't buy. We are very grateful to them for their honesty. Should we need tv repair in the future, or if anyone we know needs the service, I would tell them to drive to Idaho Falls and trust these people.

The powerjack connecter on my laptop broke which meant I was unable to charge the battery. I took it to Computer Medical Center in the Fred Meyer building; they told me it couldn't be fixed and recommended I let them download everything off my hard drive and dispose of my computer. Since it was only 2 years old this idea really didn't appeal to me. Upon the recommendation of our IT manager at work, I took it to Burtenshaw's. They repaired it the same day, fixed my power cord and screen for the same price that they quoted for the connecter repair. I can't say enough about the great service and excellent workmanship. If asked, I'll recommend them to friends and coworkers.
