Affordable Road and Drive

I contacted Patrick the 1st of May, 2023. No call back. Contacted again the 1st of June 2023. We had had our driveway resealed Sept 2022. During the winter I noticed the reseal had not adhered. Hence the calls. Last call Patrick got pretty rude and in no uncertain terms was not going to move me up on his list. The cost for the reseal was $2400.00. In my line of work when there is a warranty issue, that job moves to the top of the list. Patrick indicated that he does not make money on warranty jobs. DUH!!! Today is Jul 27th, still no word from Patrick, Yet this morning they were doing a driveway 3 doors north of me and no contact. One of two things happened to this reseal, it was late in the season due to Patrick putting me off for 2 months and the surface was not hot enough or his crew did not have the material hot enough to adhere, or both occurred. I am out 90 days now. I do not recommend Affordable Road and Drive for any work. I am not confident the company has enough integrity to own the bad job and offer a refund. Their rating with the Better Business Bureau is an F.

Polite, informational and on time. Worker were professional seemed to know what they were doing. Done in a timely fashion. Referred them to a friend already. They have already done my friends driveway.

The work was done well; however, we did have to clean up after their employees when they left. There were water bottles, drink cups and an empty cigarette package.

In business you can provide 2 things: Quality, Service, and or Price. I got all 3 with Patrick and his crew. Outstanding work, turnaround time no one could beat, and after 4 other bids I was super happy with the honest approach and no nonsense price negotiation. I searched home advisor at 2 am in the morning and by 8:30 am. Affordable Road and Drive had reached out, scheduled a same day bid on my project and was installing the drive way by 5 pm that same day!! I can't say enough about them all good!!! Affordable Road and Drive charged $4000, in August of 2019, to seal our asphalt lane and seal joints between asphalt and concrete near the house and outbuilding. For the total square footage, this is well above the top of the price range (25 cents/sq. ft.) for seal coating as reported by Home Advisor. We would have expected a lower price per sq. ft. because of large size of our asphalt (900 feet long, 13,800 sq. ft.) A higher price might be justified for a high-quality product, but that does not appear to be the case as the seal coating has come off the surface of the asphalt in a number of locations in less than one year. Affordable Road and Drive was specifically asked if their product would seal the penetrating cracks in the drive since this was our primary objective for the work. They were shown the cracks which were generally a maximum of ¼ inch wide. They said that their product would seal the cracks but it did not. When we complained they applied a second treatment. This also did not seal the asphalt as evidenced by the fact water could be poured through the cracks at numerous locations. Affordable Road and Drive said they would come back and seal the cracks in 2020. We did not hear from Affordable Road and Drive and so called them in June of 2020. After conversations, they apply a rubber sealer to the penetrating cracks in the asphalt and to cracks that were wide enough to collect water. The rubber fell through and failed to seal the cracks as water still passes through the asphalt at many locations. It is now late July, 2020, and we have been waiting weeks for them to return and finish sealing our lane. At this point we are looking for a new contractor.

My name Sam owner of the Sam's Gun Shop in Pocatello, I did Hire this company to do the work for my parking lot, he quoted me for certain amount I did not bargain with him at all, I agreed to pay him what ever he ask, at that day after he got his work done I did not walk trough with him do to my limited physical of my agility so I wrote him paid him for the whole amount, later on I found out he have done very poor work I called him he will come over to correct the problems, he did but he did not done much at all because I have to leave to do something, he just have it done very poor job. Same day service. Can't beat that (just lucky timing I guess).

Get 2nd bid, not so affordable. Asphalt work was aesthetically ok but not so sure the prep work was up to par. Time will tell. Also had them do some roadbase work on a second driveway that was not up to par, in fact was terrible. I 'll have to bring someone in to repair what they did. Overall Asphalt work was ok although more expensive than should have been and absolutely do not hire for dirt work.

My driveway was crumbling. They cleaned it extremely well before sealing the asphalt. I was also impressed with how quickly they responded to my internet search and how soon they were able to do the work. Iâ m very happy with the results. It looks great.
