The only "negative" was that they had to schedule me 6 weeks out, but I don't hold that against them. All tree service companies in town are ridiculously busy, and many have a hard time returning your call. These guys however had a foreman out to give me an estimate the day after I called, and on the day of the appointment they showed up a little ahead of time. Got the job done quickly and cleaned up after themselves.

They were professional, prompt, and they cleaned up afterwards. They gave us a good price as well.

The crew showed up on the scheduled day with a five man crew and by shortly after 5 pm the job was complete less the back fill in the stump hole which was completed the next morning. The crew was careful to place sheets of plywood on the lawn where they brought in their boom truck and left the plywood until they returned with the top soil. They cleaned up any and all debris that they created and was part of their contract.
Advantage Tree Service did a very good job and will be returning to do more work in the future.

About a month ago the owner, Bob Potter, came to bid on the project. He offered suggestions and we agreed on what needed to be done. The evening before the work was done he called to say tomorrow is the day. Fortunately it worked out well for me. The short notice was a bit surprising. The crew arrived, reviewed the project, and set to work. I was a bit concerned over how much was taken from a couple of the trees, but the result looks great and the trees will be healthier. A large Russian Olive is a bit naked, but the structure of the tree shows and it looks great without the dead branches. They cleaned up well with just a few stray leaf bunches left behind. In all, they were efficient and professional.

The job went much better than I could have imagined. Bob Potter, the owner, did the estimate and was very professional and quick - giving me the estimate at the end of his visit. The estimate was 30% less than the other estimate I received and much less than I was anticipating. The quality of the work was incredible. The work was performed on the dates committed to, including dealing with some adverse weather conditions (wind, in particular). All the crew members were professional and thorough. I added additional scope to the job as it went, and this was no problem and the additional cost was minimal.
I will definitely use Advantage Tree care in the future and have already recommended them to my friends.

After the estimate, I had to delay the work, to accommodate my vacations. When I got back, I called them and the work was done within a week. They did the work exactly as described in the bid and also removed a small dead apple tree free of charge (it was in their way and was easy to remove.) They did a great job on my trees. The trees are not accessible by truck so all this was done by climbing. They are not the cheapest in town, but worth the price. I used to trim trees in my younger life, so I do know good tree work when I see it.

The owner came out and bid the job. They did the pruning and clean up while I was at work. The tree did well last summer and produced better than expected!

I had called several companies in the area to get bids. These guys were half the price of the others. They told us they were a few weeks out before they could get to us. We said that was fine but we were leaving town on the 8th of August so we would need it done before then so we could have time to clean it up. The week before came and we hadn't heard from them. My wife called Thursday morning to inquire. We were told that the person that does the scheduling was on vacation that week and for some reason had not scheduled our job. They located our paperwork and within an hour and a half the owner himself came out with a crew and apologized up and down for the miscommunication and inconvenience and they got right to work. I would recommend this company to anyone and will definitely use them in the future.

Bob Potter from Advantage Tree Service stopped by my house punctually and gave me a detailed written estimate without my having to ask him for it (unlike the other two certified arborists I also asked for estimates). Also without my asking, he gave me free (and accurate) advice about how to help another sick tree on my property. When I specifically asked about whether anyone he brought onto my property would be covered by his insurance, he confirmed that everyone would be covered by his insurance even though some of them were not his employees. When I expressed surprise about this statement, Mr. Potter encouraged me to talk to his insurance agent, who confirmed what he had told me. Mr Potter gave me a copy of his workman's compensation and liability insurance certificates before starting the job. The estimate I got from Advantage Tree Care was the cheapest of the three I got--but I'd probably have given them the job even if they had been a bit more expensive because I knew I was dealing with a professional who respected his customers' interests and took pride in his work.

Mr. Potter showed up punctually with a huge bucket truck and some plywood to put on my lawn to keep the truck tires from damaging it. He removed the trees safely. He returned the next day to grind out the stumps. He told me to take a couple of days to get used to the trimming job he'd done and let him know if I wanted more branches removed. (I didn't have to because he did a beautiful job.)

If I ever need an arborist again, I'll be sure to call Mr Potter!
