Title: Disappointed with lack of follow-up after paying service fee We scheduled a service appointment for our gas fireplace. Our technician, Grant, came out and quickly identified that the issue was with the valve. ( My husband had already taken the fireplace apart). Unfortunately, he didn?t have the part with him. We paid the service fee and were told we?d receive follow-up once the part was located. After multiple calls over several weeks, we were told Grant was out sick, then later that they were having trouble finding the part. No one ever called us back. Out of frustration, my husband removed the valve himself, uploaded a photo online, and found over twenty places that carried the exact part. He ordered and installed it himself without issue. When I called to express our frustration, I was told ?yes, we dropped the ball? but that there was nothing they could do beyond saying sorry. We understand things happen, but paying a service fee with no follow-up or effort to resolve

Shafers does a fantastic job.  They installed the initial heating system with an air purifier.  When they came to add the

 A/C, they were punctual and came back when both of us were home to show us how the system worked and helped with the thermostat programing.
