Went really well, workers always cleaned up after themselves, were punctual. A few delays which were not their fault and we had to settle on a smaller window rather than wait 8 weeks with our bathroom torn apart for a larger one, but it looks great. Would have installed an additional light if we were to re think that, but the job was done extremely well and the tile shower is amazing!

Butch and his crew again went above and beyond expectations. This is the second project we have hired Free Lance Carpentry for and we couldn't be happier.

Butch was able to schedule this last-minute project around our schedules and our last minute changes were not a problem. Butch is also great at coming up with great design ideas for enhancing our own ideas.

His crew was punctual and professional as always. Randy, one of his carpenters, always does a very good job for us and is an accomplished craftsman. My in-laws used Butch and Randy for a bathroom renovation and they were very happy too.

We look forward to our next project with Free Lance Carpentry!

Butch and his team were AMAZING! Butch communicated very well throughout the whole project. His crew was always punctual, polite and professional. Small changes along the way (and some not so small) were not a problem.

Our house is near Harrison and Butch never had a problem driving out to check on his crew frequently (I was worried that the hour drive from CDA would be a nuisance.)

Butch was able to take my rudimentary drawings of the new floorplans and build exactly what we wanted. The quality and precision of the framing and walls was excellent. When the tile crew came in, they ran into no problems making everything fit perfectly.

My wife and I were able to purchase many of the building supplies ourselves (like tile, paint, vanities and light fixtures, so we were able to get the exact look we wanted.

One thing that really stands out about Butch is the great ideas he comes up with. When we were having trouble finding a bathroom vanity that would fit in our non-standard space, he was able to modify and repurpose our old vanity, cutting and resurfacing it to make it fit in the unique spot.

Everyone that has seen the work has been very impressed with the quality. We ended up with exactly what we wanted.

Butch and his crew became our friends during the project and my wife loved to cook them sliders and steak whenever she could.

We are completely satisfied with Freelance Carpentry and have already started talking to Butch about our next project!

I would not hesitate to use this company again for anything! Butch got back to me in a timely manner when I first contacted him. We ended up having to put our project off for several months, but when I made contact again he was very responsive. I am happy with every phase of the project. You cannot tell from the outside of the house that the window was ever any other size. The workmanship is flawless. All of the bathroom interior is excellent in every phase. The workers cleaned up after themselves every day and it was never any negative impact on our household having them working. Butch was always excellent at communicating their schedule and when they needed to be in house along every phase of the project. When supplies were back ordered or there were issues I always knew immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend Free Lance Carpentry for any project and I will definitely use them in the future for any other remodeling needs.

The wife and I purchased a Home in Post Falls, and after the move in date we found our kitchen was off measurements. Meaning, the spot for a full size fridge and a dishwasher were literally 2-3 inches to short. Needless to say this frustrated the (you know what) out of us. So we decided to remodel some what. We needed to move the entire set of cabinets at least 3 inches over, so this meant ripping up the floor and the counter tops.We made several calls and had several bidders come look at the job.
This not being our first construction rodeo (our 4th home) we knew how to spot the contractors that were attempting to price gouge us. We went threw 5 bidders before we found Butch on Angie's List (and yes we should have looked here first). I have to tell you out of all my construction jobs over the last 20 years, I have had done Butch and his crew by far as been the best I have ever worked with. He was punctual, attentive, cost efficient, and extremely professional. I would highly recommend his skills to anyone needing work done. I know for us we will not use anyone else in the future, unless he retire's!

We purchased our home in 2004 as a fixer-upper. The first project was the kitchen. Dark wood, one small window, floor and walls yellow from smoke, 40 feet of flourescents in one small room (not kidding!). Wasn't sure what I wanted. Butch Peacock (owner of FreeLance) suggested we make vaulted ceiling, rip out everything from the studs out. So we did. The kitchen is now brighter, lighter and feels lots bigger. We then went on the the outside. Butch and his crew worked quickly, taking care not to damage any of the plants around the outside of the house. The outside looks like new with the new paint, new windows and new window trim (outside). Work done quickly, very high quality with a minimum of fuss.
Next came the bathrooms. We had the laundry room moved into the upstairs hall bath, a shower installed in the downstairs bath, all new fixtures, paint, etc. Removed old shower from upstairs bath and installed washer and dryer.
Master bath. Custom walkin shower, remove wall, build new wall around Jacuzzi spa. Wonderful! Thanks, Butch
