The one incident that started me thinking that this service might not be necessary occured when I agreed to have one of their sales people come to my house to give me a quote on replacing my aging system. I did not like the pressure he put on me to make a decision. Although his job was to point out the risks to having an older system, I felt that he came too close to using scare tactics, which I consider unethical. This encounter tainted my view of the nature of the company and suggests to me that I want to search for a local company with a better personal relationship with the customer and what the customer might need.
"We regret you were left with the impression that we were trying to sell you something that wasn't needed. We attempt to make every effort to clearly explain to our customers what is wrong with their system, their options and what it takes to fix it correctly. Sometimes our technicians do recommended the option of replacing equipment due either to age, cost of repairs, poor efficiency or safety. If there is a responsible low-cost alternative, then we should provide that option. p.s. Scheduling an appointment with TML was frustrating because the call center didn't seem to know what was going on locally.
