Good end result.

We ultimately found a suitable remnant of an exotic granite at another fabricator, and chose to use that as the price for the remnant was much lower than using the material from Hard Rock. This is always the case, and if Hard Rock had a suitable remnant their price would have probably been similar. When we need granite again we'll consider Hard Rock.

On Tuesday, I got a wild idea to remove the tile around my old chipped sink and replace the sink and a row or two of tile. Well my sink size is not standard and the tiles are no longer available, so I looked at taking off all the tiles and starting from scratch. Hard Rock was referred to me by a plumbing company. Met with Maggie, co-owner with her husband, she took my measurements for the vanity and gave me a bid on the spot on Sat. and scheduled the install for the following Tuesday at 8 am. I was supposed to drop off half the deposit on Monday, but I had unexpected visitors and forgot. Maggie called with a pleasant call at her closing time, indicating she would be there a while longer, but I didn't get the message til much later. I intended to go to the shop at 7:30 am to make sure the installation would still go forward. As I was leaving at 7:30, they pulled up ready to go. The work was completed before 10 am!! It looked beautiful. They applied a sealant and offer a sealing service for continuous upkeep. Hardware store personnel gave me 3 bids, 1 with a corian top, a quartzstone and the formica, And Hard Rock beat all of them by 50 %. Home Depot was concerned that it was only 2cm thick and not a permanent seal, but the price difference and the hassle free, quick service (the hardware store would take 3 weeks to order and install) outweighed this. I highly recommend Hard Rock, the service was quick, professional, the installers were clean, and the installation looks great!
