our regular electrician, terry scott/westernelectric was unavailable to do the job at that time. over the years, we had made many purchases at alloway lighting store on grove street and always found them to be completely reputable so called alloway electric thinking they were the same company ( have since learned they are NOT affiliated) alloway electric sent a young guy who appeared to be inexperienced and unsure of himself; proceeded very slowly, was up in the attic for a long time, left for about an hour to and quot;get some partsand quot;. after a total of 4 hours of fiddeling or so, he told us the living room fan was installed but that he was unable to put the other one in ... because the attic space above the bedroom was too small ... even though he was a small built guy. we called dan long/a-1 plumbing (now retired) who recommended pat miller/miller electric. pat came right out and installed the and quot; uninstallableand quot; fan without difficulty. he took an impressive total of about 20 minutes and the charge was $105.00 which we paid on the spot as very happy customers. (our other electrician terry scott said that was a typical fee) THEN we got a bill in the mail from alloway electric for a whopping $429.00! when i called to complain, they reduced the fee by $100.00. we sent them a final payment check for $105.00 for their HALF of the job .... a job half done.
they cashed it, then immediately turned us over to a collection agency ACCESS RECOVERY SERVICE. this company has harrassed us beyond belief for over two and a half years and tarnished our otherwise sterling credit rating (we refinanced our home loan last year while % rates were very low but the only report of bad debt via alloway electric did not affect us because the loan officer was aware of similar situations with alloway electric company) this has left us with no other choice than to take action against these people. enough is enough. on november 07 filed a formal complaint with the FTC. on november 09 filed a complaint with the BBB. will file a formal complaint with the IDAHO STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL's office today. have joined your membership today because we believe you can help to raise awareness of this disreputable company in our community.

Always prompt, did it well, courteous and was forthright on what could work and what wouldn't work.

All OK except they almost didn't do the A/C- "out of their scope" but it dealt with wiring so they should do it.

I did some remodeling and needed to update the electrical outlets. I tried to do it myself as it looked easy but soon found out you need to know what you're doing before playing with electricity.

Alloway showed up on time, the guy was super cheerful, knew exactly what he was doing, and everything he installed looks neat as a pin. Fantastic job.
