Description of Work: We have used him two years ago too, to do a major remodel ($350,000) and he came in on budget. He helped plan the design then brought me containers to pack my kitchen in. We have remodeled every home we have ever had and Dan Sheldon is the best of the best! This year he did some work on our patio.

 + -1 moreAfter completely gutting and remodeling four homes in Southern California, I can honestly say that Dan Sheldon is the best contractor we've ever used. His professionalism, eye for the perfect line and design, knowledge and good relationship with a handful of very accomplished sub contractors that he uses made this large, complicated project go smoothly, ending up with a fabulous result. We bought this house, a modern thing with cracked cement floors, sunken rooms, nice but not very functional kitchen and turned it into a home worthy of a feature in Western Art and Architecture. It is on the Spokane River but the old house didn't make use of the fabulous views.. Now we have gorgeous views out of a gorgeous home. His cabinet maker, ADVANCED CUSTOM CABINETS in Hayden. Idaho, built the most beautiful cabinets, including a dish hutch that I designed, and a beautiful bar. Dan was the lead hands-on guy all through the project. He had his drywall guys re-do when I thought it was perfect but didn't pass his eye. If I were building a house from the ground up, I would use Dan Sheldon. If I were remodeling, I would use Dan Sheldon.
Description of Work: Complete gut and remodel of kitchen, dining room, great room, gallery hallway and covered porch. Removal of one wall with a gas fireplace and installed a 21' beam to open space up to great room. Installed new, huge, high effecient wood burning fireplace, all new windows, including a 18' X 10 ' view window, doubled the size of the dining room by going out, built three new doorways, created the neatest slate and wood floors I've ever seen, created a new beamed kitchen ceiling, all new hardwood floors in gallery hallway and great room; filled in a two-step-down sunken living room floor with radiant heat and brought it level with rest of house with new radiant heat lines, new paint colors selected by him and approved by me. We now have a 6,000 sq. ft., home that is beautifully done in Pacific North West rustic style.
