It seemed to go well. My upstairs never felt so cool. With the old air conditioner, the upstairs was always warm. Now We can sleep comfortably.

Interviewed over 6 other companies, including one that we were using for semi-annual service. Our concern was the distribution/ circulation of airflow. Other companies recommended from no to minor modificatoins in the system. A couple companies strongly recommended setting up zone controls.
Only Heating Equip Corp (HEC) proposed and performed a Manual J analysis, that was included as part of the system cost. Their proposal was a very reasonable price. Their evaluation revealed significant deficiencies in the ducting system. Most of the ducting needed to be replaced, either due to size, deteriorlation or location.
HEC personnel were methodical in first completing the remodel of the duct system, including removal of defective duct material in a manner that not disturb the house interior and establishing new and enlarged returns and registers. They then installed the new Lennox furnace, coil, compressor, humidifier and wireless, touch-screen thermostat. They also re-routed the fresh air intake to the outside (it had been in the attic). The coil-compressor required a new connecting line set which was installed under a sheet metal cover.
All work was melticulousand technically excellent. The crew were very knowledge, cleaned up every day and were polite and professikonal.
From much experience in interviewing and working w/other companies, we can confidently say that HEC is in a class above all other HVAC companies in the Treasure Valley. They are truly terrific folks working to provide you with a state-of-the-art, first class system. A++++++
The system is working very quietly,. efficiently, effectively and with reduced allergens. As a plus we've already noticed a reduction in heating costs!
