There was something wrong and it was guaranteed for five years.  We had them get a motor and they tried to get 2000 dollars out of me.  He got it down to 900 dollars.  I would tell someone if you are new and you don't know where to start, I mean, I guess it would be okay to go with Angie's List but if you did your own research, you know, you would just call us here and there in the Yellow Book or what ever.  It's okay if you go on the internet, you know, what you're really getting into.  They did work with me and got it down to the $900 and at least they worked with me to make it affordable to me to be able to repair the air conditioner and be able to have my service again.

I contacted Jerry at Air Comfort because I had used them in the past for a furnace repair and added an air conditioner to our house that we purchased without A/C. The thing that initially hooked me was he told me that he would sell me anything I wanted but told us that there were quality differences between brands and if we wanted a band-aid he would be happy to guide us into the best bang for our buck. Jerry spelled out  good/better/best options for us and was not pushy in any way. We opted to keep our existing furnace  because Jerry said we would probable to get 10 more years out of it and added the new A/C to our existing system.
...fast forward 10 years; our furnace is still alive, though older in appearance, keeps our family warm in the winter and cool in the summer. When Air Comfort installed our A/C, Jerry recommended that since our furnace was already 12 years old that we install a carbon monoxide detectors to ensure the safety of our family in the event the old furnace failed. He also reminds us every five years to replace the carbon monoxide detectors.
Our water heater is located in our basement in the center of our floor plan. Unfortunately the layout of our houses plumbing requires us to have a power vented hot water heater that exhausts through 90+ pvc type pipe. Jerry, it typical form, gave us options and ultimately recommended that; based on our family situation (7 daughters) we upgrade the BTU and water capacity of our failing water heater. The Air Comfort technicians were clean, professional and always on time.
I am a very picky consumer and I have rarely experienced such attention to detail combined with product knowledge and understanding of consumer need. I recommend Air Comfort without reservation.

ok.   Some techs was good, others seem to be less knowledgeable and experienced.   After using them for 5 years, I found a another company to do my maintenance work.

They were very good at listening and communicating and left the areas where they worked as clean as when they arrived. Our electrician did find a box in the attic (empty cardboard box) but as this is a newish house I don't know if that was already there. The humidifier developed a leak at the water heater but they came out immediately and fixed it with no charge. Overall a very easy and satisfactory experience. Everything has been working as expected. The increased returns in the bedrooms have made a very positive difference in air flow. All in all highly recommended.
