I contacted the manufacturer, who took months to come out and review the windows. They took a bunch of pictures, measurements and spent at least an hour looking at both sides of the window. A second crew came out several months later to finalize their findings. They called and asked if the installer had used their cable mechanism (required per their installing requirements). I told them I wasn't aware of the exact install, so they sent another crew to inspect that and found that no cable mechanism was used, thus voiding the warranty on the window. I called Ben and asked him to come back out and look at the window, fix it, replace it, whatever he could do to make it right. It took several phone calls and several missed appointments before he finally showed up. By then, the window center pane had failed, as well, since the whole window was leaning out from the house. Ben said he'd installed the window properly and couldn't do anything to repair or fix it. He said he's install a flat window for the cost of the window: $600!!! We decided to replace the window ourselves at a cost of $280 plus materials and a weekend of time. What we found when we removed the window installed by Ben was nothing but three (3) 2x4s toenailed at the top & bottom holding up the top of the window to the framing. Ben had installed three (3) angled 2x4s supporting the bottom of the window with nails. Two of the three were eaily removed BY HAND and the third one was the only piece of wood supporting the window on the bottom. I will never use Burley Glass and More to install, fix, replace or touch, in any way anything in my home again.
