James came out and walked the property with me, explaining his recommendation for tree pruning. James did an excellent job with his explanation of what he would do -- and he followed the plan when he came to prune the trees. They look great and our yard looks so neat after he did the work. He also removed 2 trees; you cannot tell he and his employees were even in the yard. The lawn mower maintenance is a yearly occurrence for us since we found him. He does a great job at a great price and picks up and delivers the mower. Can't ask for anything better than that!

"This service call was very unique. I have never been required to explain that we do not power wash the mowers before. As the client stated, there was debris on the underside. The Total build up where it was not cleaned was approximately 1 millimeter in depth. Cleaning the deck is part of the service. It is intended to be cleaned to the extent the mower is operating efficiently. This requires airflow on the underside for circulation underneath and airflow for cooling on the top side. It is not tantamount to a carwash for mowers. This is what was expected and it is not what was delivered. I am not set up for the powerwashing and scrubbing of each mower. EPA rules are very restrictive and I will not be doing anything other than clearing build up for the circulation issues mentioned above. Scraping the 1 millimeter of film, characterized as build-up, is potentially more harmful to the mower because it can scratch the protective coating on the mower and create a better environment for rust to be formed on your mower. The gas issue consists of us picking up a mower that had no fuel in it. We put minimal fuel in it to ensure it ran properly. The advertisement authored by Angie's List indicated fresh fuel if necessary. This is only necessary when there is old, stale, harmful fuel in the mower already. We replace the stale fuel with some fresh fuel. This particular mower service did not require fresh fuel to replace old fuel. We do not fuel every mower to the brim before delivery. In fact we try to minimize the amount of fuel in the mowers for safety concerns during mower delivery. We also assume that homeowners have their own supply of gas at their home. We do recommend that you use a gas additive that is listed on our website to mitigate issues with old and or stale fuel. I am pleased that I had the opportunity to address all of these issues. "Price B The date of service and the date of review are 7 months apart. I do not have records of working for this person. I do not service mowers for $50.00. A blade being upside down is a simple 2 minute fix and likely a simple error for whoever did it. Whenever you take the blade off, turn it over and put it back on, tightening is highly recommended, so kudos to the person tightening. This client claims to have attempted to call us but no one returned his calls. My phone number is the same and, Sir, feel free to call and offer your phone number because I would be willing to check my phone records to verify facts if you would like. I do return calls and have never had someone call me to tell me I installed a blade upside down. All of that being said I urge all clients of service companies to communicate freely with the service providers to reconcile issues that you are not completely happy with. Most service companies are in business to make the customers happy. Feedback is essential. Making a post 7 months after a service experience does not reflect in my opinion, the sincerity of a client searching for a quality service company to rely on. Mistakes do happen and resolving issues is the art of the professional. To offer an F as a rating for quality for an allegedly simple mistake and a D for professionalism when the only communication I have record of has been this derogatory rating to Angie's List 7 months after your service is not reasonable in my opinion. Angie list had a deal for lawn mower service even though Angie list did not remove coupon like dealer requested dealer still honored deal. Pick up not working lawn mower and return working lawn mower. The pick up and drop off service was a plus since cars are not meant to transport lawn mowers. Have set up yearly service.

Everything is good. They even added some gas and ran the mower to make sure it was working. Then ran the mower out of gas, so it is ready to store for the winter. All work was done in an extremely timely manner. Mower was picked up on a Friday and returned on following Monday. Mr. Feehan was very professional and I recommend his work.

I called James on a Monday, he came to my house the following day to give an estimate. I accepted the estimate and he did the work two days later. He was on time and did an excellent job. Clean up was well done too.

My only regret with James' service is that I did not take before and after pictures! When I called him he came right out, we walked the entire yard and he gave me an estimate. When we came back, we walked the yard again to ensure nothing had changed. The trees look better than ever and the yard now looks neat; just as he promised. He and his crew cleaned up and left no trace they had been there -- except for nicely trimmed trees. I'd use him again.

James had done some tree removal and trimming work for me in the past, so I was delighted to find that he also did concrete jacking, since I could find no one locally who did it. He arrived promptly as scheduled and completed the job in less than two hours. The sidewalk is now level and looks much better and more importantly is safe again. He did a thorough cleanup of the area afterward, and acted professionally throughout. I would recommend him to anyone who needs mudjacking done.

James picked up my mower within an hour of when I talked to him. He explained to me in detail the services he would be performing and the cost. I asked him some general questions about my mower and he answered them in detail. He told me how long the job would take and said he would call me to arrange to have the mower returned.
The job was completed exactly when he said it would be. We worked out a delivery time that fit my schedule. The price was exactly what he quoted me. I will recommed him to any of my friends who are looking for a professional, cost-effective, dependable mower repair service.

James did a tune-up on our lawn mower. He picked it up at our home and returned it two days later. I had checked around at several lawn-mower repair stores and was told I'd have to bring it in, wait about 10 days, then come pick it up. The price was a bit more than the stores said they would charge; but, remember, he picked it up and brought it back. James was very professional and, as far as I can tell, did an excellent job.

Very well. I have 3 trees in the backyard. Over the years, they have grown so well that they are killing the lawn underneath. James came over, removed the dead branches, and raised the canopy. Two weeks afterwards, to my surprise, the grass is already growing back. This is my first time having trees trimmed, so I cannot tell rate the quality of the work against others. But It looks pretty good to me. The backyard looks better than ever.

Starting with the initial contact, James got back via phone & came out promptly to do the quote. He is straight forward & has an excellent eye for proper tree & shrub pruning, as well as providing important details on growth habits & requirements of plants. Furthermore, he ordered a utility survey done to identify potential underground pipes. When he came out, he & his assistant promptly went about their work, including clean-up. James asked me to come out several times to see if I was satisfied w/the pruning. Beyond all of this, James is a great American, with an entrepreneurial spirit (look at the range of services he provides).

James responded to my request for a quote within a few days, making an appointment to meet for an evaluation. I had him evaluate trimming two very large trees, one elm and a maple tree, plus an old lilac that was having some trouble with the heat off a newly poured concrete driveway. He was very professional, taking the time to talk about what could be done for all three trees and understanding what our concerns might be with respect to privacy, aesthetics, and shade. He gave me enough information to make the decision to trim the elm and lilac this year and the maple next year. His quotes, I thought, were very fair. He also explained what would be done about the electrical lines and the fence. The work was delayed by weather, but he kept me apprised for every delay. The work when completed was just beautiful. The elm tree looks like it should be in a painting. Also, his crew left the yard and fence in perfect condition.
