Nothing was on time, several things had to be redone because they were done shoddily or incorrectly the first time around. They were very unresponsive when my job ran into problems, and it took me calling them two to three times a day before they would respond. The worst of the remodel experience: their painters were very careless, and they chipped, scratched and damaged the brand new marble that had cost a fortune, in addition to leaving paint drips and splatters everywhere. Strite never addressed my concerns or questions about the damage during the project despite numerous emails and calls. The stone also remained unsealed for nearly a month despite emails, texts, conversations and requests about sealing the stone. My project manager dropped off the face of the earth. After the project was completed, the response from Strite regarding the chips in my shower and on the floor was, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do about that." They did offer to bring in someone to polish the floor. This may help with the etching, but the stone chips are much more glaring issue than the etching. My new bathroom does not look new at all. :(
The timeline: they told me my project would be finished within 3-4 weeks. It took over 10 weeks. They told me they would be done the next week for 5 weeks. I usually did not know when people would be in my house, and I had people coming into my house when I was in the shower and before I had left for work (making me late for work on several occasions). When I hired them, they assured me that I would know the schedule in advance. That didn't happen, either.
I do understand things can get delayed, but there was little to no communication about what was going on or why. I would ask questions, and the response was always, "we'll look into that and get back to you." Everything stopped for weeks, no one would communicate with me, and one got back to me until started calling 2x a day.
The project they told me would take three weeks took 10+ to complete. Even after they finished the last of the remodel, they either forgot or didn't bother to remove their lock and lockbox from my front door. I'm just going to remove it myself so I can lock my own front door again for the first time in nearly three months. It will also be peace of mind knowing that someone won't be walking into my house without notice at any given time.
Removed deck from second floor and created a solid surface to be used from upstairs and a very nice patio cover with lights and fan on the first floor.
"Thanks, it was a pleasure to work with you!"
