They were extremely careful with my furniture and floors. I have five ceiling fans (with lights) and because Stephan has an electrician as part of his team he was able to carefully take down and reinstall these large fans. They went out of their way to make the whole process easy and stress free for me.

They did a really good job for us. They are very cooperative and worked diligently. We were really happy with them. Their customer relations is great. They helped move things and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards too.

Stephan Beynun is a great painter.  The price was reasonable.

Preparation work for exterior painting: Caulk seams and make minor repairs (spackling) to siding. Caulk work was very good, used a high quality caulk. Minor repairs were never completed, some never done. Minor carpentry included straight trim boards around the windows on the back of the house. The trim boards don't line up and are not flush with the house siding, but are at an angle.  Siding around the windows was not removed first and this is why the trim was not flush. The only window trim that looks good is the one window that the owner, Stephan, actually did it himself and had the trim boards oriented properly.  All the others were done by a friend  he knows from a bar in California who was visiting for 2 weeks, not an actual carpenter or siding contractor. 

The job spanned over 2 months, when we were expecting 2 weeks, max.  Some days nobody would show up, other days the owner would arrive around 3 or 4 pm and stay an hour or two.  Nobody ever arrived to work prior to 11 am, although the weather was very favorable for outdoor work.The actual paint work was very good and of very good quality.  Even though I had to show them 4 times about a large pillar they forgot to paint, the trim work and paint turned out very nice.  They used Sherwin Williams A-100 exterior paint and it looks great.

Bottom line is that if we had just stuck to paint and not asked them to trim out the windows, I probably would have been much more satisfied.  I chose this company over Certa-Pro because of the promise to do the prep work more thoroughly, but as it turned out, they didn't deliver on their agreement.  In fact when I called Stephan to remind him that the repairs (under the paint job) still needed to be smoothed out - he failed to call me back.  In other words, once he got his final payment, he never looked back, never returned my phone call, and also didn't bring the leftover paint for me to use for touch up, though he promised he would. I had to go to the Sherwin Williams store myself to get a printout of the color codes used in the paints.  

Stephan was very responsive to my needs and actually volunteered to work within my budget. He came over the night before work was to start to make sure that I was ready for work to begin and to double check on exactly what I wanted and the paint color. The work took about a day longer than they expected because there was so much prep work to do to the walls before painting. I did talk Stephan into a price that was $200 less than his original bid, so I didn't expect the wall prep to be perfect, but the work they did was better than I had hoped for. There are still some imperfections like old patched spots showing through, which I would have been more picky about if I had paid his full price, but I feel that I got my money's worth. Stephan and Adam were both very nice people and I felt comfortable having them in my home, and I trusted them enough to loan them a spare key to the house when I had to leave for a while.
