Painter1 of Boise

We used this company and they are scammers! Doing business with them is a very bad move, they scam their employees out of money and aren't professional in regards to business dealings. Jeff isn't a good person to hire to do you're job. He comes off being professional but he WILL SCAM YOU! Do NOT use Painter 1!!!! Hopefully this review will save some of you HMO's some heart ache.

I paid them painting my interior wall at around 8/15. Overall the limiting looks Ok, most of them are working pretty hard. The reason why I give painter1 a one star because all my window blinds are broken, and the back door blinds are never re-installed after painting. Also the handrails of the stairs are lying on my loft and I have to install them myself. They told me when they come to pickup the ladder they will install the handrails and blinds. There is a hole that generated after the painting, which obviously is the mistake made by them. Never trade for something. Here is my another lesson: My initial plan was have them paint my living room and stairs, because my house have high ceilings, -and I will paint the here bedrooms upstairs myself. Iâ m selling my tv and tv stands, one guy come and told me if I could give him the two TVs and two fancy tv stands to trade for painting the three bedrooms. I agreed, but after a week he only paint two of them and told me that his hand is hurt and will not paint the remaining one because he doesnâ t have the insurance... Lol, if you cannot finish your work, just told me at the beginning. Well, now I need to repair the blinds myself

Paid them to refinish our deck three years ago and they did it with a product that started flaking off within months. They came out to put on another layer but said it will continue to happen. They didnâ t prep the surface properly to absorb the stain or they selected the wrong product for the job. Left paint spots everywhere that they couldnâ t remove. Finding out now that it will be a massive job to strip and may have to redo the entire deck. Paid what I thought were professionals and they screwed it up big time.

First, I have never flamed a small business like this one... and it does not bring any relief to do so, but our family is camping in our living room after 5 weeks in an airbnb due to Painter 1. Everyone has a bad day at work, everyone makes mistakes, everyone deserves some grace at some level....However none of this applies when a business has to o out of their way to do harm. This is our experience: Painter 1 bid two weeks for interior 3500 sf house for $22,000! Then walked off the job after two rooms were painted (and a small bath partly painted) with high VOC paint (which was previously discussed and zero VOC paint was requested) leaving the two kids' bedrooms uninhabitable for at least two weeks. Another sub realized that something was wrong and when he brought it up, the painters walked out and Jeff didn't return our calls for three days. Painter 1 kept our ~$7k deposit stating that is what it costed to paint two (normal sized) rooms and a small bathroom (which only received one coat) and primed two bedrooms all of which needed touching up. We are out $7,000+, and we can't use any bedrooms one month after hiring Painter 1. So Saul, congratulations on bein a VIP of Painter 1. Buyer beware, this is a guy who hires anyone to work on his jobs with no oversight and then screws his customer, unless you are Saul. We are huge advocates and supporters of small business and gave Jeff several chances to do the right thing and all we got is the burden of filing a law suit as we should, and will. We found Painter 1 as a recommendation from Lysi Bishop's Team at Keller Williams in Boise. The only reference I made to you or your teams at any time about you is that when you refused to return our money after destroying our home, which remains uninhabitable due to your teamsâ behavior; I called you a fraud. And I stand by that.

Would not hesitate to use Painter1 again for interior painting projects.

Prompt service good quality great follow up

So far looks great still needs a little more touch up and has been a real good so far and the walk thou should be fine.

The painter's did an excellent job, took their time and made sure everything was done right. Clean up was perfect and the final walk thru will be easy.

Ken and his crew did a excellent job in painting the house and garage; they where efficient and did all the required touch ups. We had a bad experience with a prior painter and were a bit sensitive with this job, but Ken was very patient with us and listened to our needs. The reason I can't give them five stars is because they left several empty 5 gallon paint buckets and other supplies stashed on the side of my house which they should have hauled away at completion of the work.

Very in the know when it comes to painting and paint. Professional and affordable

They came prepared with their license and insurance info. Took measurements and gave the estimate on the spot for the whole house. They helped with the color choice and were able to do the job in two weeks, which was amazing!

Painter 1 was great to work with. Jeff and his crew did the job exceptionally well, answered all of my questions, were respectful of my home, showed up when promised, and went above and beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend Painter 1.

This company needs to learn how to communicate, they were very sloppy on the job they did and had to come back to complete the project. Was very disappointed with the finished product.

Able to do it one day - kudos

Painter 1 by far was the best quote I received and I did get 4 different quotes to paint various rooms in my house. They were very professional, did an outstanding job, all painters were very cautious of my furniture and belongings. They were quick and very patient as they had painted a portion of my wall and I ended up not liking the color I had chose so I asked if they could redo. Instead of being upset or frustrated of my indecisiveness, they gladly repainted it with no hesitation. I absolutely would choose these guys prior to any other painters. You won't be sorry!

Work was scheduled and performed quickly.

Jeff did the preliminary estimate, then he and Justin pressure washed the fence for cleanliness prior to painting. Had to wait on dry weather due to rain for a couple of weeks, but then Justin did a fine job of painting the fence as advertised. They even did some touch up of street side fence where spraying went through gaps. When the paint did not match perfectly, they repainted the fence to ensure a professional job. Great work guys. Highly recommend!

Excellent crew. Special thanks to Jeff and Anthony for communication and quality attention to detail. Some of the crew noticeably more experienced/invested in their work than others but all were friendly and professional on the job. We run a business out of a 100 year old house - special attention was needed for old bead board, replacing floor moldings, lots of angles on conduit and decorator door trim. All turned out very well with only a couple minor touch-up items at the end and some minor dripping on the floors to clean. Overall, a great experience and we'd be happy to hire them again for the next project.

Jeff the owner is very nice and accommodating. The painters themselves are also nice and willing to explain everything you need. Almost everything about the experience was great. The only drawback was getting the final finishing touches done ( switch covers, electrical plates, blinds) it took some work to get them to do it on my hectic schedule but was it was done the house was excellent.

The job had one difficultly, a couple of places where the wallpaper had pealed. Jeff mudded, smoothed the spot and painted. You couldn't tell it had pealed when he was done! He did the job himself and in one day.

The staff were very polite, understanding, and reasonable. They did a good job.
