Excellent! Every phase was well planned and completed with expertise and care. Zandy is a superb communicator and when we experienced challenges (such as black mold inside the roofing) - he recommended several "fixes" and once agreed, implemented a solution quickly. Initial design was great. All his subcontractors were on-time and high-quality. We are thrilled with the addition of an upstairs bathroom to our 1914 farmhouse!

We have used On The Level for several projects and everything always goes well. They are very responsive, timely, and professional. Zandy gets back to us by email and telephone promptly. Estimates are done quickly. Their work is of the highest quality and we will use them again for all of our projects.

When an upstairs addition by a former owner caused structural and plumbing complications, there was added cost and a very minimal time delay, but other than that, we were on time and on budget. Whew! And the outcome? I couldn’t be happier. I absolutely love my gorgeous new kitchen.

EXCELLENT! From the design concept to the finish - it was an excellent experience. Zandy, Burce, Dion - all the subs - quality work, and the job stayed on schedule and was finished as promised. Zandy and the sub-contractors he hired for the various aspects of our remodel demonstrated fastidious attention to detail, graciousness when dealing with my husband and me, and a focus for getting our remodel done as timely as possible. Zandy promptly returned calls, texts, and emails. He was ever present nearly everyday attending to issues that arose or simply checking in with us to verify everything was moving along as necessary. We have recommended Zandy to friends and I can say without hesitation that we feel he is one of the best remodeling companies out there and worth every penny.

Beginning with the original bid I knew I had chosen the right contractor. Having been through previous remodel projects, I could tell this was going to be different-for the better. Zandy is VERY complete and thorough. From his detailed schedule to the complete detailing of the original estimate I had a clear idea of timeline and cost. Zandy's subs are the amazing! Matt, who he had perform the demo work took extra care to really prep the surrounding areas so they would not suffer any damage. Every day when arrived home from work I could tell that they had taken the time to clean up (as much as they could) before leaving, this is something that really reflects their professionalism. The former fiberglass tub/shower combo was replaced with a beautiful enlarged tile shower complete with pebbled rock floor, LED lighting, and frameless glass shower doors. Zandy's Tile sub has an amazing talent! The custom vanity allowed me to get just the correct sizing and the Quartz countertop is beautiful. Upgrading the old vinyl flooring to wood plank tiles made a huge impact. I can't think of one thing that didn't go according to schedule/plan, which is actually kind of incredible! Zandy and the Subs he has chosen to work for him are an amazing group of individuals. Everything was on time and on budget! I will definitely use "On the Level Remodeling" for any future projects.

It went well with the exception of finding dry rot which is never fun to take care of. However, the new double sliding glass doors look great giving me the view that I wanted.

All things considered I thought it all went very well. Primary issue was that slate flooring material for Master Bath wasn't available as promised which really threw a monkey wrench into overall schedule and caused overall job to take much longer than originally planned. While that was very disappointing, we "could" have selected an alternative material which we did not. I do think that it was ultimately managed as well as one could expect and this really wasn't anything that "On the Level' could have foreseen as we were all told material was available and in stock...although it does suggest confirming reality by putting hands on material sooner. Overall we've been very happy with result and would most definitely recommend "On The Level" to others. Very happy with all the Subs as well.

Zandy and his father before him have made multiple remodels of my home for 30 years -- probably 8-10 projects, in all, including adding skylights and windows, remodeling the master bath, remodeling the family room, adding wood floors, building multiple decks. They have always delivered great value and a beautiful finished product. They have done some projects while we were gone for vacation for three weeks, and we arrived home to a beautiful remodel job with everything clean and neat. Zandy consults with me in advance and at every stage of the project, and finishes on time and on budget. I would be glad to do a testimonial and have my name and address used. My home was built in the early 1980's and is on two acres of woods so it is important that projects are well built, and On the Level has proven itself over and over again. We were very happy with the results. Zandy was readily available and handled the project with humor, understanding and high standards. The master bath required moving walls and a complicated transom window. We had a vision for this bathroom that demanded finesse and a great design sense. Zandy ran with our vision and made it reality. He was professional and dependable throughout. His workers were hard working and polite; the sub-contractors were on time and on budget. I warned Zandy that we wereparticularly picky about tile work. His tile installer was great, discussing layout with us and checking in along the way. The plumbing work, cabinet work and painting were all excellent. We highly recommend On the Level Remodeling.

The service went very well. We were in need of lender approval repairs when selling our property and were on a very strict time line. On the level remodeling came through for us with a very tight timeline that other contractors were not able to meet and performed the job to meet high standards that would pass inspections and lender approval.

The only hiccup was with his demo crew. After that everything was handled very professionally. There were problems with the cabinets and some tile work but Zandy ALWAYS made sure any issues were resolved quickly and completely. Zandy offered his advice but was not pushy when we were trying to decide how much to spend. We would hire him again in a second.

A combination of circumstances led me to do major work on my house in my third trimester of pregnancy. Since I opted for such craziness, I am so glad that I went with Zandy and On the Level. He was quick to respond, knew how to address any lead paint issues, made recommendations about what was most cost-effective, and gave me a timeline that was followed to a T. I chose to stay elsewhere during the construction, but did stop by after work to pick up mail. Each time, whatever work had been scheduled for that day was completed and no scraps or mess was left behind. Zandy remedied a few minor problems (like some debris falling into the furnace air intake) immediately. It was exactly what I expected when finished.

Our crazy dog had destroyed the door between the house and the garage. On The Level came out and replaced the door. It was an insulated steel door, so they made sure they replaced it with the same type. Also had to paint it. They also leveled out a door which was scraping our hard wood floors (because the house had settled unevenly). Also, while there, they repaired the locking mechanism on the front door. They were professional, friendly and very timely! i would hire again1

Comments: Zandy ,On the Level Remodeling, is a great person to work with. He is aware of what is happening and what needs to be done. He kept me informed of where we were with the project. If a problem arose he would let me know and what his solution was. If I had an idea he would listen. If I had a question he would give me an answer that was understandable. When I had changes or additions to the remodel he would go over the additional cost and time. He would then let me decide if it was worth it to me to have it done. This is the third job I have hired Zandy: remove two fireplaces, remodel one bathroom and create a new bathroom. and the remodel of the upstairs of my home. By what I have had him do show that think a great deal as to professionalism and integrity. My Thanks, Ron Johnson The remodel of my split entry home included: Design of the remodel. Reroof the house adding roofing to cover the dinning room and Master bedroom extensions. Plus and roof extension to cover the BBQ area. install new siding, replacing 6 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. removing walls between the kitchen, Living room and dinning room. extending the dinning room by 3 feet. This entailed moving the 2nd floor outside wall, Adding support structure below. Complete remodel of the kitchen; custom made cabinetry with granite tops, under cabinet variable Installed lighting, added a hood vent microwave and new appliances plus a garbage disposal. Enlarged the master bed room 10 feet (130 sqft). creating a10 X 13 room below it. Installed wood flooring in the hall way, kitchen, dinning, living room and stairs. There was a problem matching the color of the stairs with the rest of the flooring. Zandy hired another company that was able to resolve the issue. The floor was not level and to level it a new beam needed to replace the old one that was warped. They were able to jack up the sag in the garage to straighten it. Installed carpeting in 3 bed rooms. With all the extending of rooms and tearing out walls the electrical wiring, pugs and switches had to be replaced. The front and back door along with 6 interior doors All the new floor molding was installed and picture frame molding was put around all windows Installed new porch railing by front door Built a new 30' X 10' deck on the upper level with stairs to back yard. A rain guard was installed so that the ground level under the deck could be used. 658888888+2*8

Zandy is fantastic. I called him and he sent somebody the same day. DId a fantastic job at an affordable price. He is very responsive and sensitive to people's needs. Zandy won't take your shirt and your first born like some other businesses.

Zandy showed up on time for the estimate, got us the estimate promptly and made a number of changes as we thought through things. He started on time and got right to it. There were a number of glitches, not caused by Zandy or his team, but he jumped right in and solved every problem without any trouble to us (he even had our carpet stretched and smoothed out in the entire condo when his carpet guy was in -- just because he wanted it to look better!). The cost went somewhat over the bid, but that was me selecting more expensive fixtures, not anything Zandy or his team did, but he kept us informed of every dollar. The bathroom is beautiful. I really depended on Zandy's advice for various decision points we had and he came through for each one and was great to work with. Everything went very well. I have already referred him to a friend and look forward to having him do our kitchen in a couple of years. If there is a grade higher than "A" Zandy deserves it.

I would recommend On the Level Remodeling as a vendor for remodels. I was consistently impressed with Zandy's professionalism. The subcontractors he used were knowledgeable, punctual and respectful. A couple of minor items came up throughout the course of the project (not a surprise - we were ready for it) but overall, we are completely satisfied with the finished product and our experience with On the Level Remodeling.

Zandy was GREAT! He provided a quote that was in our target price range and worked with us on selecting materials to help meet that budget. Unlike any others that we have worked with before, he provided a calendar/schedule with a clear breakdown of tasks and completion dates. All of his subcontractors were nice, helpful and on time. We had an issue with some of the plumbing that was done and Zandy ensured that they came back that week to fix the problems. We also had a few surprises and those were handled well and within reasonable budget. Zandy quickly responded to calls and changes that we needed. We have another bathroom that we will do and for sure, we will use On the Level and Zandy again for this work and other around our home. I would give him a A++ on the job!!

Everything was smooth and timely. Cost a little high but commensurate with the quality. There was some small miss-communication that I was partially responsible for. I would suggest that you get sketches of any project that has room for misinterpretation. In any event, Zandy went out of his way to make everything right, and he did. That is what you really want. Things often go wrong and its how a guy responds that counts.

He was wonderful. He listened to what I wanted and gave higher and lower estimate. Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, I was not able to go forward with the project.

When our wood floor installer pulled up the composite flooring under the carpets, there was a dry rot hole in the subfloor approx 10" long by an outside door. I needed to get this repaired immediately (since it was holding up the wood floor install) so I contacted Zandy at On the Level since he lives in our area. He answered his phone (!) when I called, and said he was too busy to take on a major project in our time frame, but he would be willing to assess the situation for us and do the work if it was a one day project. I sent him a picture of the problem, he came out the next day and investigated, and thought they could do it in a few hours. He had his brother come over on a Saturday, he pulled up the affected area of subfloor, installed new supports, painted the surrounding boards with anti-dry rot stuff just in case, and closed it back up all in 4 hours. Kudos for recognizing our pressured time line and making it happen on the w/e.

His father was the architect. We’re trying to build a bedroom and he was gonna attach it to the front side of the house, just open the wall up for a doorway to get into the bedroom and the bedroom was just like a room for the dog and a dog shower. He wanted $60,000 for that and it was like outrageous. He said he would make it smaller and take out all the cabinets but it would still be in the 40s. We still had to pay $3,350 for the design and plans that we’re not even gonna use. The quoting process was perfect. He was nice, available, and responsive. We got a quote for $2,400 for the front porch and it was the cheapest.
