I struggle to find anything good to say about Keilty Remodeling. I experienced the bait and switch, was flat out lied to, price-gouged and their craftsmanship is poor. The only good thing I can say is the majority of their subs they have aligned with do good work (although that being said two of them never showed up and I had to use my own contacts). My wife and I decided to remodel the kitchen, eliminate the formal dining room and do a hardwood floor extension into the great room. Being a major job, we wanted a turn key remodeler that had design experience, could handle a bigger job and be hands free. Being hands free was very important as we had a very new baby while all of this was happening. They sure promised all that, and although I knew I was paying more than I should, I felt good about the fact they would make it easy and produce a high-quality end product. What transpired the exact opposite and 13-weeks of misery and arguing. As soon as the contract was signed the owners Bill and Chris were never to be seen again, their PM walked out on them 2 weeks in and their remaining crew made lots of mistakes. After doing a good job on the demo the real problems began. The only non-cabinet reconstruction was a 6’ long ½ wall which was built to the wrong dimensions and had to be retrofit twice. The island was laid out in the wrong place, the plumbing was nearly cut in the wrong location, and the air vent under the sink had to be moved. The built-in pantry drawers as laid out nearly touched the end of the island and blocked the walkway. The plans were never laid out in the actual space in my house, just on screen. When I told the PM it doesn’t line up he said, “just don’t put stuff in them that gets used very often”!! Exactly what you want in a custom kitchen. When the island and pantry were resized the cabinet maker just decided to cut 6” out of the walkway and had I not been there move it back that too would be been a major problem. I luckily work from home, am in construction and caught all of the problems, but it took 10 weeks of daily oversite and doublechecking. This is about as non-hands free as you can get especially when I had to arrange my own contractors two different times. One was their painter who just decided not to show and then when the tile guy increased his bid $800 on a $1400 project the day before install even though the materials and design didn’t change. When I complained that I was being gouged, I was told by Chris Keilty I just needed to pay it or find other options. Luckily, I have friends that do painting and tile who took care of it. Twice I shook hands with the PM about different portions of the job he agreed to take care of only to have him back out the next day. Any minor changes along the way were subject to a change order (38% markup) and they tried to weasel out of anything they could every chance they got. We added about 40’ of crown molding and there were big gaps in the corners, behind the molding, and they refused to caulk them because that was somehow the painter’s responsibility who had already been done for weeks! I had numerous arguments with Chris about the poor service and craftsmanship which never went anywhere since she had a signed contract and me over a barrel. In the end they broke my microwave, outdoor fixture and gave me the worse customer experience I have ever had. This level of neglect to customers will hopefully put them out of business. I paid $80K and got about $50K worth of goods and services. Should have done time and materials so I could see how they justified it all, but they of course wouldn’t give that info even 2 weeks in asked for it. In the end I paid in full, got taken advantage of and am writing this to keep it from happening to you!

Had a large front porch added with lighting and roof to match the house.  The previous owner of the house drove by to have a look and didn't recognize her own house.  It looks like the addition has always been there.  They matched the paint on the house and the roofing material.  New gutters were installed and all new walkway and concrete porch.  It's beautiful.

Once a date was confirmed the work began and proceeded quite well.  Involved two different craftsmen.  The finished product exceeded our expectations and we are very pleased with the result.
We requested that an additional window be installed in the master bathroom.  The only window was in a separate room that housed the toilet.  I was impressed with the fact that every step was monitored and we were apprised of the work to be done, steps taken and asked for feedback on the work being performed.
The craftsmen performing the work certainly knew what they were doing and as I indicated the finished product exceeded my expectations.  Bottom line is that you get what you pay for and this job was A1.

In a word, FABULOUS!  All of the employees and subcontractors were wonderful, very professional and did great work.  Loved Bill and Chris and the project manager, Perry, was first rate.  We've already had them to bid a second project. Love the prompt and timely response. We couldn't be happier with the new look and feel of our great room and love the low E windows in our master. It's amazing what a big difference such a small change can make. It's like having a completely different room.  Hands down, Keilty Remodeling will continue to earn our business.

Everything was easy and predictable. Bill Keilty came over with his cabinet people... They measured and asked many good questions and got back to me within several days with a price and estimated completion date.
.Bill's wife, Chris, was very good about correspondence and staying in touch with me throughout the project

Keilty was the most expensive contractor for the project,
but they confirmed by their process they were the best qualified for the
job.  Bill came to the home site prepared
to understand our requirements. He made a follow-up appointment with his
project manager Perry and their sub-contractors to go over the project in order
to obtain pricing and summit an overall bid and time line to complete the
project.  The proposal was very accurate regarding
our requirements for the relocating the Laundry room, water heater, and associated
hook-ups into the garage and preparing the room for an office space. Perry was very
good about providing us input regarding the progress and status on the project.
Additionally, he would make recommendations for us to consider and was always
kind and considerate regarding changes and additions to the project.  We are extremely fortunate to have found
Keilty Remodeling Company and would highly recommend them to anyone who values
a professional Company? that does what they say, stays on budget, and completes
on time.? We will use them in the future and recommend them to our friends and
family.

"Thank you, Member for your feedback. I’m glad we could help get your project done in the timeframe you needed. In response to your comment about our pricing, we are very thorough with our bidding process to make sure our bid includes everything required to do the project right. This often makes our price appear more than others upfront. Other contractors may give estimates for the project, which may or may not include everything. This often results in change orders and extras later in the project. We want our clients to know upfront the cost of the project and everything that is included in our proposal. That is why we provide full project specifications with our proposals. Homeowners should understand that there is a difference between an estimate and a bid to do the work and know what is all included in the proposal. We are glad to be working with you again on your new projects. Again, thank you for your feedback."

We were very pleased with Keilty Remodeling.  The staff and subcontractors are all very professional and courteous.   They listened to our ideas and thoughts and were very accommodating to our wishes.   We were very impressed with how they were always on schedule and communicated any changes in the schedule.   They always kept the job site clean and safe.   We were also impressed how they generated their bid for the work:  they had their staff and subcontractors (electricians, plumbers, drywall, flooring, etc) show up on an afternoon to provide accurate estimates to build the total proposal.   We really liked that, it seemed there were very few suprises during the remodel, since the subcontractors had been to the site and developed their estimates.
Lastly, they were very good with their accounting.   A number items actually came in less than estimated, which was a nice suprise!
Keilty provides quality work that is guaranteed.   They were responsive to our requests and I would definitely use them again.

I spent over $100,000 on that service.  My experience with them was excellent.  I liked that they explained each step and always gave me options.  When an old house is torn apart to remodel problems are found, so if they found problems they would give me different options of what to do or not to do to make it perfect, make it so so or ignore it.  I was just involved in every step and everything came in either at cost and if it was higher than cost I knew exactly why and agreed to it before they spent my money.  The experience working with the customer and price is what I would highlight about them because they actually came in at a good price.  I did a lot of research before spending that kind of money.  They had a lot of good recommendations from people that I called and check with.  The price did reflect the quality of work.  One of the other things I liked about them was their responsiveness.
