The work was awesome. Val gave me an estimate and stuck to it. His workers showed up on time and completed the work that day. Just as Val told me it would be done. And would not let me pay them until Val the owner checked the work. Excellent business. I will hire them again.

This review is subsequent to the finished build of the deck. It is now Spring, less than 6 months since Idaho Home Exteriors built our $7,500+ and custom deck and benches. The screws in the decking are working themselves out and the wood itself is curling and cracking. The pressure treated wood used for the decking has to be the lowest grade possible, cracking, curling up, knots popping out causing holes in the decking. And the custom benches are no better. They supposedly used redwood on the benches, but I am suspicious due to the knots, holes, splinters, and splitting on the bench seats and backs. We did not even have a bad winter, very mild actually. We sealed the benches with Thompsons Water Sealer early in the Fall. It is just a poor job made with poor materials. I will not be using them for phase two of the project. Such garbage.

This is an update to a previous review of the company (Idaho Home Exteriors) now that the project is finally completed. The issues with the improperly installed siding were fixed after waiting a week and a half. We had to have several discussions with owners about our old patio cover and agree to pay up to an additional $200 for them just to reattach it (although it was stated in our original contract that they would reattach it). We were also pressured to pay the second installment before project completed, although explicitly stated in our contract that we didn't have to pay until the project was completed. The owners themselves came out to reattach the patio cover. They showed up two hours later than they originally planned (but they did text to let us know they were running late). They were able to reattach patio cover even with pieces that they had said were "unusable" prior and in the end did not charge us extra. Overall, I like our new siding and it needed to be done on our old house, but I would not personally recommend this company.

They moved right in and got the job done quickly.

The workers were very professional, did a great job cleaning up, and I would definitely hire them again. They do excellent work.

Had five new windows put in one of our homes. They have cut down on my electricity bill. And insulated the house from overheating from the sun. Plus now that it is getting colder it is holding in the heat better. I really appreciate the tight seal that these windows have. The crew that came out were very polite and cleaned up after their work.
