Colin and his team at the Groutsmith have been wonderful to work with. It was so refreshing to find a business owner that still operates with honesty, integrity and pride in workmanship. Unfortunately, in the TV many other businesses are just in it for the money and could care less about doing a good job. The Groutsmith is just the opposite, committed to excellence and integrity. We had a shower stall and and a vanity done yesterday. It looks great ! Everything old is new again :) Nate the Great worked non stop attending to every detail (I don't think he even stopped for lunch) . The difference in the appearance of the grout is simply stunning! Overall, this company has a very impressive staff and product/service. We immediately asked for a quote on doing more the Fall. We will return later to offer a review on the durability.

They did an excellent job

Very professional job.  Prompt with quote and follow-up service.   Polite and considerate.  I am very pleased with the results and will call this company again when same or similar service is needed.

I would highly recommend Groutsmith. He cleaned and resealed the granite countertops in my kitchen and hall bathroom. He repaired and regrouted some areas by the sink that were heavily damaged--now it looks great!
The hall bathrooms looks much better, too. Unfortunately, I waited too long to have that granite resealed, and now that piece is a little dull from all the water my boys splash in there. Michael did the best he could--and it looks much better--but my neglect had caused some irreversible damage.
I also asked him to look at the travertine tile work in the master bathroom to see if it needed to be cleaned or serviced. He told me it was just fine and didn't need any work. I appreciated his honesty!

Very punctual and very thorough!   He came out the day I called and gave my husband an estimate.  I called him to schedule the work and had a few questions that my husband did not ask.  He answered all my questions and gave me advice on how to treat the mold and not use the shower a few days before he came.  He and his employee arrived right on time and got to work quickly.  I was in and out of the house and they stayed inside the shower the whole time.  Once they come in with all of their tools they do not leave until they are done.  This is a policy of his, I believe, to decrease the security risk.  I didn't have to worry about anything coming up missing when they left or any extra dirt, damage etc.  He is VERY honest and professional.  His employee was very friendly and courteous.  When they first began I came in to watch a bit and they had started cleaning all of the grout lines with toothbrush size brushes.  That was my first clue that I did the right thing in hiring them rather than attempting it myself!
My shower is a walk in with a bench and the ceiling is very high, it is a large shower.  They started with the brushes from the top....I was surprised because water and mold do not even reach up there.  This impressed me largely, he doesn't cut any corners.
He warned me the seal on the floor may not hold and what to look for if it doesn't.  The tile on the floor are not very level at all and he was worried there may be moisture still under the tiles that would compromise the seal.  Well I am happy to report that after 3 months everything still looks perfect.  He did a great job of repairing broken grout and tile outside of the shower also.  The whole thing feels brand new!  
Just like others I do not like having stuff done in our house, it is a pain, but Mike made it painless and did his job the way I wish everyone would!!!

Mike came back shortly after the initial work and fixed some problems.  I was impressed with his willingness to do so.  Following his advice, I didn't used the shower for 10 days.  In fact, I didn't use it for about two weeks because I'd gotten used to my guest bath, so the caulking had plenty of time to cure.   I wasn't thrilled about the way it looked, but decided my expectations were probably too high.  The first time I tried to clean the new caulking with a soft  toothbrush, it came out.  I called again and said I was going to have it redone by someone else and offered to let Mike look at it before I did so.  The receptionist apologized and offered me $100 refund.  She said Mike had done research, but didn't need to come look at it.  C'est la vie.  The refund was a nice gesture.  In short, I'd say Groutsmith's service is excellent; the work, not so much.   

He met me there before our scheduled time and repaired the shower floor grout in about 1 1/2 hours, also the grout line beside the kitchen sink.

He came on time, did an excellent job, and was true to his estimate. Can't ask for more than that.

Mike from the Groutsmith did a great job. He came out and gave us a free estimate, then was on-time to the appointment and did a great job. Our shower looks like new again. He said most showers need to be sealed yearly and we will for sure be calling him back next year to re-seal.

I chose Groutsmith because of glowing reviews on Angie's list.  I was not as impressed as those reviewers.  My shower is a walk-in with traditional ceramic tile on the walls and floor.  I am diligent about using a squeegee after each use but after several years, I just couldn't get the mildew out of the floor/wall joint.  Groutsmith removed the existing caulking and told me water had seeped in a few places, so supposedly they dried it out before applying new caulking.  When Jordan (?) was done, I asked about the dark streaks on the walls and he said they were already there.  They were not, but I was able to remove them with a soft cloth.  I was disappointed with how the shower looked when he left, but I didn't know if my standards were just too high or if something was really not done correctly.  I debated calling to complain, but decided to just live and learn.  Then someone from Groutsmith called to ask how the job went, so I explained my dissatisfaction.  She was very pleasant and said she would send Mike out to check and make it right.  That impressed me.  Mike came back and put more caulking over what was there and caulked one area that Jordan had entirely missed.
Fast forward about 5 weeks.  The cleaned and color-sealed floor was a waste.  It appears they just painted over what was there and that wore off after the first shower.  The caulking in the shower looked better until I tried to clean it.  For the first 5 weeks I did as Mike suggested and followed the squeegee with a soft, microfiber towel to make sure there was no standing water at the joints.  After that, some mildew began to appear, so I used a non-abrasive cleaner with an extra-soft toothbrush and the caulking peeled right off, leaving gaping holes.  The original caulking had lasted 6 years.  The caulking around the sinks is so wide and soft that when I wipe the counter, bits of paper towel stick to it.  Bugs have even gotten stuck!
Result of Groutsmith's work in short:  I am $270 poorer, my shower floor looks the same, the sinks look worse, there is missing grout in the shower, and I can no longer clean mildew from the grout like I could before.

He was able to perform the job the following week after I called as it was a rushed request in response to the inspection for selling my home.  He was professional and knowledgeable. The finished work looked very good!

Price was very reasonable.  Two workers arrived on time.  Workers were clean, neat and cordial.  Work was performed in a short amount of time.  They cleaned up after themselves.  I would definitely use them again for same or similar work.  I would definitely recommend them to others.

Adam and Darsey came at the appointed time. Adam had to run and finish another project for an hour or so but that didn't detract from the job at our home. Darsey got busy right away scraping tile and caulking in the shower. When Adam returned he got to work on the 18" ceramic tile floor in our entry, kitchen, hallway, laundry room, and bathroom.
Both Adam and Darsey were professional and dedicated to the work they were doing in our house. Neither wasted any time but worked hard. The project lasted most of the day and I can honestly say I don't think my tile was this clean when it was installed nine years ago!!
I highly recommend The Groutsmith for your tile needs. I found Adam on Angie's List and I'm so glad I did.

I had questions and Adam returned my calls, promptly.  He showed up on time, ready to go.  Such professionalism and a great work ethic, and the results were phenomenal!  I'll call on him soon to do work on the tile in my other shower.
