Aitor was very responsive in terms of scheduling initial appointments, providing quotes that were competitive. He also gave good input about types of plants, shrubs to add. Discussed the pros and cons about metal edging around flowerbeds with bark vs. replacing bark with rocks.
On the day of the project, Aitor and his staff showed up on-time. The crew was quite good and finished the entire job in a single day. They did a very nice job on the edging, putting up the bushes/roses. The raised bed was quite well done with good quality wood and compost. I ended up having a bumper crop of tomatoes, zucchinis and cucumbers I have ever been able to grow!
The part that impressed me the most about Aitor was his willingness to stop by on a Saturday morning a week after the project when I called him to say that the crew had missed out on rerouting a sprinkler on the edge of raised bed. The project was done in spring and so the sprinklers had not been turned on yet...so its likely that an oversight might have happened by the crew. Aitor was at my house within 20min of the call on a Saturday morning and he himself took care of rerouting the sprinkler head.
Overall, I really liked the service and excellent customer-care provided by Aitor!

Great job! I called Aitor with Capitol Landscape on 8/13/13 and asked if he could come out and look at the yard of a house my mom had just purchased. The yard had been badly neglected for a very long time and was a horrible mess. He said he would swing by later that afternoon. He showed up about 3:00pm and did a walk around with me and my mom. My mom had just purchased the house and the kids she bought the house from either had no idea how to care for a lawn or didn't care. Either way, the yard was a huge weed and dirt disaster, it was totally destroyed. It was far beyond anything we could do without professional help. So I went to Angies List to look for some professional help. I called a couple of companies who said they would come by but the only one who actually showed up was Aitor with Capitol Landscaping. He had some great ideas on how to "fix" the yard and also decrease the labor necessary to keep it in shape. They were ideas that paired nicely with the ideas we had, he just refined and expanded them in delightful ways. We really liked all his suggestions and felt the price was a fair price for all the work that would have to be done to bring things back. So we hired them. Unfortunately, they are in high demand so Aitor informed us that they probably couldn't get to us until late September or early October, but that was okay with us. The lawn was totally destroyed anyway so a few more weeks wouldn't make that much of a difference.
On 10/11/13 Aitor called and said they were ready to start work and that he was going to run by that afternoon to mark all the work areas for the work crew. He came by and we marked the whole yard for the work to be done. Mom and I made a couple of changes that had occured to us in the time since Aitor initial visit. He didn't seem to have any problem with it at all. He said they would start Monday 10/14/13.
The whole crew (about 6 guys) showed up on Monday 10/14/13 and hit it hard. This was a major job as far as physical labor. They had to reconfigure, move and repair the whole sprinkler system. All the "weed" sod had to be removed and replaced with new grass sod. This involved almost the whole lawn and it is a BIG yard. Old decorator rock had to be moved and removed. They put in new sunken metal edging that had to be put in by hand then lay weed barrier and cover it with new decorator rock. Then they added bushes and a tree. They filled a huge dump truck TWICE! Some of the work involved temporarily removing parts of the cedar fencing and then putting it back up. (Actually, very clever in my opinion.) They also had to repair a badly warped gate. It was quite a dirty job but these guys breezed right through it.
I would never have believed it, but they were done in 2 days! It was beautiful and done exactly as we had described. The only glitch was we discovered a broken sprinkle line Tuesday evening after everyone had left. It didn't show up during the walk through because we had turned all the sprinklers off to do the walk through. It was later when I was doing a final tweak on the sprinkler adjustments that I found it. So I called Aitor late that night and he actually answered! He said he would come out the next day and fix it. He showed up the next day, tools in hand and proceeded to dig up the sprinkler line which turned out to be about a foot down and wrapped up in a tree root. It was a dirty, messy, wet job but Aitor finished it without a single grumble. It says a lot when you see that even the boss is willing to get dirty. Everything looks great and works beautifully ever since. I would definitly recommend Capitol Landscaping to anyone looking to do yard improvements or renovations, large or small. I know if I ever need anything else done, they are the first ones I will call.

Due the scope of the work we had some concerns prior to the start of the project but they were alleviated from the very 1st day.
The team is very professional, work hard and clean up after each day.
My wife and I were rarely around during the day but that was never an issue. We received emails and phone calls when necessary.
Our project turned out better than we imagined and are very happy with the work that Aitor and team completed.

They showed up on time as scheduled (actually a bit early), and completed the job from start to finish in about 5 hours. They were all very pleasant, professional and eager to please. Perfect. He was in about three hours and had a team of about 3 or 4 guys doing it. They were thoughtful and hardworking. They made sure to water it and to see if I was happy with the outcome.

We contacted five landscape companies to get quotes on our project, three responded to our phone calls, two actually showed up to give us quotes. Aitor from Capital Landscape showed up when he said he would, was very helpful in suggesting things that would save us money. He was prompt in sending us a quote and based upon our interaction with Aitor we decided to give him the job. His crew arrived on time, very professional, cleaned up each day before leaving. Kept us updated on the schedule. We had an outdoor kitchen, RV slab, Patio slab and Concrete retaining wall done as part of our phase one. We look forward to having Aitor return this year and start on phase two which willl be a complete landscape plan including concrete curbing, moving trees we want to keep and redoing everything else. Can't wait to get started.

They do excellent work. They are very thorough, quick and professional with excellent customer service. His name Aitor Biain. He is an energetic guy, works hard, and has a crew that works very hard. I like that he works at a high level and works alongside his men when they need to pick up the pace. His crew has excellent experience and has delivered projects for water features and stone work.
