Kelly, the technician, responded to troubleshoot the problem with the furnace, and replaced a blown fuse. It then appeared to run fine. Unfortunately, the furnace went down again two weeks later. He responded as a call back, no charge, and found other issues that were "not" initially evident. He found the "A" coil was blocked with debris, and cleared it. The furnace is now operating good, without any further problems. I would highly recommend Ashley heating and cooling to all my family and friends.

When you buy regular service, you can buy it in packages and I believe that's what I did. They've been A quality ever since. These guys are pretty consistent. They are just punctual, they are clean, they are thorough and professional.

Shaun was my technician. He is very professional and knowledgeable.   He called ahead of time to let me know he was 25 minutes away.  He checked my AC and found that it was way beyond its life, it had a coolant leak, and another piece was burnt out.  He said to replace all of that would be about $1000 dollars.  He said the system was so old that these fixes would only be temporary.  He didn't try to push selling me anything, but we know that our AC is 30 years old and will need to be replaced.  I like that the $89 fee will be applied to whatever course of action we decide to take.

We purchased our system from Ashley several years ago. Since then we have them perform periodic maintenance which is always professionally performed giving us peace of mind. We decided to have our ducts cleaned since it has been more than 10 years since the last cleaning. They came in and used great equipment that showed significant results. They also did a sterilization of the vents which made the house smell great. Both techs worked really hard and got the work done quickly. We continue to use and trust Ashley's work.

My experience was pretty good. I really like them. They had done a good job for me. I have used them two times in the last six months. I like that they are prompt, courteous, take care of the problems, and reasonably priced. I thought their price was less than previous places that I had come out. Someone recommended them to me because they were not expensive. The price was good. Compared to anybody else, it was the best price I had ever paid on a call like that. They are excellent. They were fast, quick, and got there when I needed them. I did not have to wait. They are a small company. I think they only have a couple of trucks. They seem to be pretty busy, but they help. They are good.

Everything was fine but very pricey. I ditched them when I found I could get the same service for half the cost. Stick with the number one rated company in Boise and your wallet will be much happier!

oticed water pooling around the base of the furnace when the A/C was running, so called Ashley in the morning to see if they could come out. The person on the phone thought it might be frozen coils and asked me to turn the unit off. I did and went to work. Met one of their technicians at the house a couple hours later. He removed the access panel to get to the coils, took one look, and said the pan was leaking. He scheduled for Joe (I believe) to come out after he finished with the current customer to discuss options.
Joe arrived, we discussed the house size etc., and he printed off a number of quotes for different size units ranging up to $9400 including heat pumps. I wasn't thrilled, and said we would talk about it. Went back to work.
Talked to one of my workmates, and he said if I wanted to wait until after and quot;high seasonand quot; to try to get a lower cost, maybe I could use plumbers putty to temporarily plug the leak in the pan to get me through until fall. After work, went to Home Depot for putty, sandpaper, small wire brush etc. to see if I could find/plug the leak. Opened up the panel when I got home to find that the water was dripping off the coils, not from the pan. After researching on the Internet, discovered I could buy a $5 can of coil cleaning spray and clean the coils - which I did. No more water around the furnace.
Waited over a week for Joe to call me back, and when I explained the sequence of events to him he backpedaled, made excuses, told me that due to liability they would have had to remove the coils to clean them if they did it - anything except an apology and/or acceptance that maybe they did anything wrong. Not impressed.
Still had one fall furnace service left on the contract, so on 10/25, another technician arrived to perform the service. Talked to him about what had happened, and in addition to the furnace service he also looked at the coils and drain line. The drain from the coil pan was a convoluted mishmash of different fittings that turned a couple of angles, and had a pretty small opening. Even though I didn't ask him to work on it, he insisted on trying to remove the fitting and replace it with another that would be more wide-open. The fittings were very tight, probably rusted, and in using two large pipe wrenches to loosen the fittings I believe he cracked my pan. I now had water around the bottom of the furnace again when the A/C ran.
I ended up having to have my A/C replaced this fall, but had another company do it.

Be careful with these guys. I used them for years to do my fall and spring maintenance on the HVAC. The last time, the service technician sadly explained I needed a new system because a rotor was bent. He contacted a sales rep, who appeared within 10 minutes. They talked me into a very expensive, complete new system. Thank God I called for a second opinion, who assured me my system was just fine and could last several more years. It's still functioning great. I could have spent over $20K if I had been led down the sales pitch path.
ALWAYS get a second opinion before making a major purchase, and educate yourself on what you need vs. what is available!
To his credit, the owner did contact me and try to and quot;explainand quot; that if my system goes bad I could end up with monoxide poisoning. Um, well . . . .

The house is a single level with long runs from the plenum to the back bedrooms. The rooms farthest from the furnace were at issue in not receiving enough warm air in the wintertime. We had a single thermostat that controlled the entire house.
We contracted with Ashlee for an annual tune up of the HVAC system, at the same time we asked them to advise us why some rooms were hot, some cold.Ashlee did the maintenance, mapped the existing system, measured air flows, determined there were no leaks in the current system.
Ashlee advised that a single thermostat governing the entire house was insufficient to balance heating/cooling loads throughout the house. They recommended adding a second zone to control the back bedrooms. After reviewing their design and cost estimate I asked an engineering friend to review and advise me. He confirmed that Ashlee's recommendation was good and the cost was reasonable.
We had the technician/job supervisor on the project from start to finish. Ashlee arrived on time, completed the work in a 1 1/2 days. Final price was as quoted.
Ashlee gets bonus points becauseI suggested a change order to add an additional register to one of the rooms, but upon inspection and measurement Ashlee determined this wouldn't be necessary, so they saved me $240 that I had expected to spend.

I spent about $8400 on that service. The house was built in 1990 and it was the same furnace that they had when they built it. I liked that the price seemed great, they had big financing and it was one year of no interest, no payment. They came out that day and got it all done and also had the inspector come out the same day and it was up and running. The workers that showed up were great, they were good guys and they had come before to service my old unit. Everything is holding up and it looks great.

My gas furnace (1997) was in the crawl space of a 1930's home that has been remodeled many times, the last time in 1997. The original oil burning furnace was also still in the crawl space along with lots of construction debris, old ducts, and insulation. It was yucky (technical term). I got estimates from several companies to remove the existing gas furnace, replace all the ductwork, and put a new furnace in the garage. Ultimately, I included a new A/C as well. The Ashley rep who did the estimate spent a lot of time and gave me a very detailed estimate. He explained the options (single stage, dual stage, heat pump) and did not try to sell me something I didn't need given the size of my house. Upon my request, he also included dismantling and removing the old oil burning furnace still in the crawl space. I was impressed with his patience with my many questions. The work took 5 days and included concrete drilling and 2-3 men every day crawling around in the yucky crawl space and hauling out old duct work, insulation, and the 2 old furnaces. They did their best to keep the dust down and from what I hear from others, it could have been much worse. I have two entrances to my crawl space and they were very good about letting me know when they had to access the one in a back room so I could move my 2 cats. The only downside was the first time I actually had to use the A/C, there were problems and it took 3 service trips to fix it. Still, each of the 3 times I called, Ashley had someone there the same day and there was never a charge. Despite that minor glitch, I was very happy with the service and the work performed. Summary:
  • The estimate was very detailed and did not change due to unpredictable circumstances.
  • The Ashley rep predicted the work would take 4 days; it took 5 + and the price did not go up.
  • The installers were prompt, polite, professional, and did their best to limit disruption.
  • At final inspection, the rep gave me 2 air filters at no cost and also did not charge me for all new vent covers, which I asked for in a fit of and quot;I want everything new and shinyand quot;!
I have recommended Ashley to several friends and acquaintances.

Arrived on time, quickly removed old furnace and installed replacement so we would not be without heat. Then installed the remaining items. Were very willing to explain every thing they were doing and made sure we understood the workings of the system. They were very professional and cleaned up completely.

They were very good with us when we had the work done on our heating and A/C unit. I wasn't billed for the service because the price was already included in the bill when we bought the heating and A/C unit several years ago. Their salesman was fantastic. He helped me understand the layout of my house and how to get the most efficient heating and cooling depending on seasons. He was just great at seating down and explaining to me how the things work and what would work best for me. He also told me what is the best price wise for me and it really met my budget.

I had signed up for an 18 month service contract with the Company last fall after having them come over to fix a failed furnace. I was impressed with their field service technician and my interaction with him. When it was time for the spring tune up of the A/C unit, they were courteous in calling for a time that worked for me, as well as giving me an option to have them let themselves in (which I took them up on, since I work full time). They had to call one time to reschedule, but the assistant was very kind and courteous and she asked me how my day was, etc. When the field technician came to perform the service, he promptly called me at my work number to inform me of the other services that needed to be performed and gave me an estimate when I asked. I had him perform the needed replacements. I was satisfied with that. He also mentioned that the furnace and A/C were aging and should be considered for replacement soon. He offered to have one of their representatives call for an estimate. He also recommended that I drain and rinse out the hot water heater. I then asked if he would complete the service for me (just an additional $45, which was worth it to me, since I don't have a lot of time for those things). Everything got done completely and satisfactorily. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs heating and A/C service.
