They did thorough testing to make sure it was nothing out of the ordinary. Got my Rx and all was good.

The appointment couldn't be scheduled for approx. 3 weeks from when I called which was maybe my fault for waiting until my last pair of contacts to make the appointment. The office setting is very professional and they shuffle you through different people pretty quickly to run a number of tests. I was with one person for about 15 minutes and I was almost certain that she was the eye doctor. But, then she left and a different woman came in and introduced herself as the doctor.
They gave me a pair of trial contacts and when I checked out I expected a call in a week or so to see how the contacts were working. They never called, so I called after several weeks. All they asked was whether I liked them and how many I wanted to order. I said that I wanted to shop around and if they could fax or email my prescription. This is the part that annoys me because they won't do it. I either had to go back in the office to get it (not very close to home) or they would put it in the mail. I got my prescription in the mail a week and a half later.
At checkout they also charged me $40 which I thought was strange since my insurance covers eye exams minus a $10 copay. I let it go but then 4 weeks later I received a bill from them asking for another $10. I called my insurance company and they confirmed that eye exams were covered. I didn't pay the $10 extra and I should be getting a $30 back from Physicians Eye Clinic. I assume I'll need to call if I want to get the $30 back.
Physicians Eye Clinic is a lot like all other eye care clinics I have gone to. The doctors and doctor's assistants all do a fine job but they do a lousy job when it comes to after care services and billing.
I can't get excited about going back and I'll likely go back to Whylie's or try another place out.

Office staff and intake worker/nurse were extremely rude.  Provider herself was very thorough and professional and friendly.    I had to call twice to get copies of prescriptions and when I finally stopped to get to get them you think I had asked for the moon.  Noticed there were an extremely high percentage of older patients, most with someone helping them along, so perhaps that is their niche.  I was used to an eye-care provider for 15 years that really seemed concerned about my eyes.  Perhaps the staff at Physicians Eye could take lessons.

As stated previously, I was disappointed to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time.  The staff was friendly and everyone was confident and competent and felt I had a good exam and got the correct prescription.

Basically it's a large office and it's a kind of a relaxing environment because it has lots of windows and they do nicely in those times.  They have friendly staff.  It doesn't have a real natural bedside manner but he's very thorough and he does a good job.

Overall, it was good. I think the girl helping me was in training. She was very nice, but unsure of the charges. After a few minutes and some help from other staff members, we got the charges straightened out. Just make sure you ask about any charges you are unsure about.

The appointment went very well. I did not feel rushed. The doctor was very thorough and we talked for quite a while about my options for contacts and glasses as well as options for allergy drops. She even gave me a sample of a prescription allergy eye drop to try. They had to order a trial pair of contacts for me since they didn't have them in stock, but they were there and ready for me to pick them up within just a few days. Overall a very good experience.

Positive - slight vision change but not necessary to change lenses - dry eye improvement - minimal cataract intrusion - no glaucoma

Staff were all pleasant and very helpful.  Front desk folk were pleasant and efficient.  Support staff appeared well trained and were careful to sterilize equipment in my presence.

First prescription attempt was a mistake, redone at no charge.
However, $900 later (including the glasses from their associated optician), I still cannot see well.
Cordial, but ineffective. Second pair of glasses never did fit properly.

I had my right eye repaired 12/19/12, and the left eye surgery on 1/2/13. The surgery only took half an hour. The procedure was virtually painless. The only down side to the surgery was looking to the light for about half an hour during the surgery. The surgery corrected my vision from 20/40 with glasses to 20/25 without glasses. I had my eyesight back enough so that I could drive the next day. It was so professional that I'm dreaming of creating some kind of 1st grade unit based off of my experiences because they made everything so simple. I was just impressed by everything. The nurse put the IV in no problem, and I was just relaxed during the whole surgery. After my first surgery there was supposed to be a blizzard, and she fit me in for my post operative eye exam later that day so that no one had to come out in the bad weather. The opening they do in your eye is so small that it is about half the size of a period on a keyboard, and it is so small that it does not even require stitching. The staff is extremely, extremely helpful.

Dr.Valerie Kunkle is very very good and did both of my cataract surgeries. I have an annual check up there for my diabetes for my eyes.

Dr.Brown is knowledgable, thorough, but sometimes I feel that she doesn't really understand what I'm trying to tell her in regards to problems that I am having.
