I have a 12-year-old son and I was concerned that he was behind in one or more subjects. I had heard Jan Mickelson (1040 AM, WHO Radio) interview Judy Hintz, whom he calls "The Kid Fixer," on more than one occasion. I was impressed with the success stories she would share and thought my son might benefit by getting some help from Judy. The first thing that was done was a comprehensive, four hour evaluation of Jeremy's abilities in everything from reading comprehension to math. After reviewing the results, a course of study was recommended for him to help get him not just up to grade level, but beyond grade level. Judy Hintz developed the program they use at Educational Resource Assoc., and she guarantees results. The tutoring is $48/hr and is done one-on-one with the student. Halfway though one unit of study, my son went up an impressive 5 reading levels! Judy has a no-nonsense approach to learning and is very effective when dealing with children. I would go back to Education Resource Associates anytime my son needed help and highly recommend it to anyone who has a student who is struggling in school. It is costly, but it is worth every cent! Ignorance is much more expensive than anything they could charge.
