James Decorative Painting

He was hired to remove the paper and leave the wall ready for me to paint. I was not at the home when he worked, but he told me he was there for five hours. It was a bathroom with only 1 8x8 full wall and 1/2 wall @ 4x8. I don't know what he did for that 5 hours, but didn't remove all the glue and some of the backing. Probably because he didn't know how. He admitted to looking on the internet for best ways to remove paper. He must have missed the one showing how to use a steamer and professional products. He left my house smelling like red cider vinegar and downey. And I still have to finish the job. On top of it, he broke the toilet tank lid. Offered to replace it, but showed up with a dirty, dusty lid that did not fit. He admitted to getting it from a plumber friend for free. On the phone he said he billed $25 per hour but charged me $30. Like a fool I paid him. Mostly to just get him out of my house. I guess that is what I get for taking a name from a flier off a convenience store bulletin board.
