Description of Work: Inside small repairs and fix up such as fix screens, door handles, check furnace, install shower rod and light fixtures.

Description of Work: Chuck Pack is the owner of Pack Remodeling in Des Moines and does not have any employees. However, he has many contacts in the trade and is more than willing to call on their expertise when required. We got his name from a trusted friend who had used Chuck many times for home improvement work. We were ready to update out 21-year-old kitchen with new countertops and backsplash. After spending an hour 'interviewing' Chuck, we knew that we had our man. I loved the fact that he showed up every single time as promised over a month long project (we ended up getting counter tops in 3 bathrooms as well as the kitchen). He was creative, professional, respected our budgetary constraints, and methodical in his approach. We paid Chuck on an hourly basis (time and materials). Some of the materials we went to Lowe's and paid for. Chucked picked it up and did the work. He has a favorite countertop company and arranged the sale of products with them. We paid Chuck and he paid the company. I liked the fact that he was always on hand when they did their work. He made sure that we were satisfied with the final product and even called them back to re-buff the countertops for us. On his own time and dime, he went to various home improvement stores to find the 'perfect' backsplash for our kitchen. Chuck did not ASK me to write this for him, but I wanted to make sure that he received the recognition he deserves for a job well done. We will certainly call him back for other home improvement projects in the months and years ahead. I recommend him highly.
