I have been taking my dogs to Broderick for the past nine years.  Everyone there is always pleasant and fantastic to work.  they know both dogs and myself by name and recognize and greet us when we walk in.  The service is always prompt and their advise honest and practical.  The vets and staff are fantastic as well as the groomers.

Dr. Beth Kaiser is always compassionate and knowledgable. Dr Beth takes the time to answer all of our questions for our two puppies. We are very pleased with her and her staff. We also had contact with Dr John Broderick and we feel the same about him.

The technicians greeted us at the door by name and were very welcoming to my new pet. Dr. Kaiser looked over my pet's past records, answered my questions and gave advice about when to use heartworm and flea/tick prevention. I have been a client of this clinic for nearly 14 years and have trusted them with several pets. They have always been knowledgeable and kind to my animals and have discussed all options for their care, including referrals to specialists.

I have used this veterinarian for 11 years. Vets Jon and Barb Broderick are fantastic. Barb has recently retired, and has been replaced by Dr. Kaiser. This is who we saw most recently. She was knowledgable, although didn't really take the time to get to know me, the customer. Since I had a new puppy, she acted like I was new to the clinic.
I've continued to go to Brodericks all these years because Dr. Jon has always been a fantastic vet, and taking care of my pets is what matters most. BUT........
The front desk ladies are clueless (there is one in particular, and she's been there the longest). As I mentioned, I've been going there for 11 years, with two dogs, and they STILL don't know me, don't know how to spell my name, don't know the name of my pet, and don't act like they even knew I was coming.
How hard is it to have a list of what animals are coming in that day, look up from your computer, and say, and quot;oh, this must be Lacy!and quot; Instead, they're talking to their computer, saying things like, and quot;now what's it doing, that's not what I wanted, then not even looking up, but saying, I'll be with you in a minute.and quot;
They need a lesson in customer service. I know of others who have gone elsewhere for this very reason. If it weren't for the vets being so awesome, I would have switched years ago.

Initially, I was about 10 minutes early for appointment. The staff at the front counter seemed a little unorganized or maybe inexperienced? However, they were very friendly and got dialed in on me within a couple of minutes. I got the impression they were kind of new, but later felt that maybe wasn't the case. Maybe they were just having a weird day. Maybe it could have been because I was early?
Anyway, They got me back to a room very quickly, and the veterinarian was fantastic! Barb Broderick, (the vet) was kind, pleasant, and extremely skilled at her job. She made me, and more importantly, Charlie feel comfortable and at ease. She was gentle with Charlie, and I could tell he was more comfortable than he normally is in a vet's office. She got to work quickly, and never caused any pain to Charlie through the entire blood draw, shot administration, or gland expression. She checked his teeth and offered her thoughts on his overall health and then talked to me about different medications available to fight heart worms, including the brand she doesn't carry to make sure I knew all of the choices available.
The fees were very reasonable. In fact, I was honestly astounded by how reasonable they were. We just recently moved here from Dubuque, and had been previously using a vet in Waterloo who seemed to put a charge on the receipt for front door usage when you brought your pet in. Not with Dr Broderick. The charges were minor and directly to the point. We got three things done. And there were three things on the receipt. No office visit charge. No and quot;we thought we better polish his toenailsand quot; charge... Just three charges for three things done. And the charges were very reasonable!
I am very happy with the Broderick Animal Clinic and will recommend them to anybody I meet needing a vet.
