Abundant Design

The Abundant Design team put together a great design and were great to work with. We love our new outdoor space with all the native & edible plants.

We worked with Abundant Design for our property in DSM. We could not be more pleased. The city of DSM had some very specific guidelines for what they wanted us to do. Jeff followed them as well as added some storm water management and native plantings--which enabled us not only to help the environment but also to get a sizable rebate from the city! Edible landscape (for people-not wildlife) was also important for us--once again, Jeff came through with great ideas--we now have apple trees, asparagus, service berries, black berries, strawberries, raspberries, aronia plants, and herbs. Jeff provided instructions for caring for the plantings and they have done well these last 3 months. Jeff is very knowledgeable and very easy and professional to work with. We highly recommend Abundant Design!

It is an absolute pleasure working with Jeff and Noah on my landscaping projects. Very professional and incredibly knowledgeable, they clearly love their work and do an amazing job of handling all the details and making any needed adjustments in a prompt manner - they even did all the paper work for applying for my rain garden. We found Jeff through the Des Moines Rehabbers group. Once we contacted him, we realized he had done work all around Des Moines that we loved (including at Drake!). Jeff was great to work with. He designed and created the yard of our dreams. We had him plan our front and backyard, and he and his crew removed sod and planted all our new plants. They also took our vision of a dry bed for rainwater and made it better than we could have imagined. He included fruit trees, edible and beneficial plants and flowers, built a new vegetable garden, reworked our old raised bed gardens, and created a space we finally want to be outside in and enjoy. He has also been helpful and patient with our emails since the hard labor has finished - answering questions about specific plants, finding an arborist, etc. He and his crew are knowledgeable, hardworking, speedy, respectful, and helpful! We highly recommend using Jeff and Abundant Design. (Pictures include AFTER then BEFORE. Jeff also installed temporary fencing to protect the plants from our dogs while things got established.)
