- On 9/10/14 John from Blue Print sent his sub contractors and the work started. On 9/15/14 I received a bill for completed work which said "Thank you, John" - It came by email. The bill had an additional $395.00 for the dumpster. I reminded him of his quote he had provided by email. He tried to come up with some excuse that I agreed to pay for the dumpster over the phone, but phone records prove I didn't speak with him until 3 days after he emailed me his quote. He was literally within a few minutes of being approved for the sheet rock and insulation bid and release of funds from my mortgage company. (Another $7,500) We spoke the morning prior to getting the bill and he never mentioned anything issues. His bill clearly never indicated any issues either . Up until his bill and me seeing my house, he was very nice as were his sub contractors. There was no indication from anyone that I would ever expect what was about to come.
When I went to check my house, there was a huge hole in my floor, one wall was still sheet rocked, one room had the full ceiling and a 2nd had a large partial ceiling, nails and screws were still in the studs, there was still insulation throughout many portions of the house, there was about a 1/2 dumpster of junk in my driveway and blocking my sidewalk to my backdoor - which was the only usable door. The doors, some cabinets, etc. were still in the house, there was debris and insulation all over the floors in every room, gas fireplace was not removed and the list goes on. Of course there was not any Ozone or seal coat even started. Because he claimed his work was complete, I scheduled my next two contractors to do their separate jobs. Both showed up and neither could get started due to all the work that John S. from Blue Print left unfinished. Evidently he does not have respect for others in the construction profession either. This also delayed the project. I did not receive any explanation why this happened. I just a snotty email stating "Why are you venting we are done, move on" after emailing him when I got back to a computer after seeing my home. I can only assume this also means he is not expecting any payment. The payment was less than 24 hours away until I saw my house (minus the dumpster fee) Again, my house was "finished" per John and I received the bill prior to bringing up the dumpster.
BTW my house is less than 900 SF, only six rooms and a 70 mile RT from where I am staying.
- Anyone who wants to see the emails, phone records, pictures and videos of this man who was apparently trying to defraud me and my insurance company, I have it all!
"Great people to work with."
