Exede

We were given 25g to use for the month. The representative told us this should be more than enough for my husband and I to use for our consulting business. If we went over the 25g we had to call them and for additional $ they'd add on more g's. They do not have unlimited service in the Plattsmouth/Louisville area given they are located across the river in Villisca. We went with another provider who provides us with unlimited coverage with lesser $. Back in September we called Exede to cancel our service. The representative told us a box would be sent to us to send back the equipment. If they didn't receive the equipment back in a certain time frame, we would be charged $300. We've never received a box to return the equipment and they are continuing to have $129 taken out of our checking account. We will never ever go with an automatic withdrawal since this is the sort of crap we have to deal with now. We live in small wooded subdivision and have found that 2 others have cancelled their service. I do not recommend them. Now we have to contend with them getting a refund for the money they took out.

It is a satellite internet company. I think the installer came out of Hannibal, Missouri. I don't where they are located, it is not anything local. I chose Exede because I have a nice home in the country and landline internet or fiber optic internet is one mile down the road and they won't come any further. I have no option. They do a package deal with Directv for satellite TV if I want them to. Exede has been very customer friendly, has faster internet speeds and I have never once got an overdated charge on stuff I used to get charged with when I had a previous provider. Every once in a while I get a storm and the satellite does go out and sometimes I have to reset my modem. I know they can't do anything about it. I think they could be a little bit better on the pricing. Their quality is pretty good. It is pretty fast for being satellite and they give you an email and web page for free. Really, you don't use a lot of data unless you are watching Utube or other stuff. I really have not had to call them other than setting it up, and then they were pretty quick and pretty friendly. He was pretty friendly and what he did was thorough. He represented the company. He was nice. He wanted to put the satellite in the ground and I asked him if he would put it on the deck. He had to call and make sure so he was not doing anything out of the ordinary or against policy so he was pretty professional. I have referred them to many people in my family.
