The guy that owns the company, Dave Baum, admitted he was not licensed to do plumbing, however assured me his guys were. His guys told me otherwise. none of these people have proper credentials to do the jobs they are hired for. They have experience, yes, but as you can see from the grades I gave them, their experience didn't count for much. I didn't hire these contractors. They were hired through an agency I received financial assistance from to get these repairs done.. The owner already has another full-time job and only showed up at my house when there was a problem. There were a lot of problems. The guys he hired to work for him never showed up on time. There were a few days they didn't show up at all when they were supposed to, even leaving my toddler son and me without hot water for a weekend. This job took a total of over 2 weeks. It should have been completed in less than one. Dave himself supervised and aided in the installation of the furnace and air conditioning unit. The only problem I've had with this unit was a small leak that was a manufacturer's defect and no fault of Dave's or the guy he had helping him. This was the only part of the job that went right. The first time the vinyl was laid in the kitchen, they guys who laid it weren't familiar with the glue they were using and how quickly it set up so the floor was laid crooked and the guys ripped it when they tried to force it into place. They then had the nerve to be upset when I told them I wanted it redone. Second time vinyl was laid, was done so by different guys and it went a lot smoother. However, to get rid of all the excess glue that got all over my cabinets and the vinyl, the first guys used Goo Gone, which had an added benefit of melting the black rubber soles of one of the guys' shoes, which he then tracked onto my dining room carpet! So, now my carpet's ruined. Dave did come out with a Rug Doctor and try to clean it up, but it's melted rubber. It's not coming up. A cabinet housed my hot water heater. Due to the presence of mold I was unaware of, the whole cabinet had to be torn out and rebuilt. The walls that were removed were paneling and the walls that were rebuilt were drywall. I didn't have a problem with the difference, however, the cabinets and crown molding that were hanging in the laundry room were not fitting and all crown molding had to be replaced. A guy even hung one of the cabinets up side down. After it was done, my mom and uncle came to town and saw a small surface tear in the vinyl. Admittedly, the last thing I wanted was these people in my house again, so I waited until my family left until I called the owner, Dave, about this problem. First he told me he'd take care of it the best he could. Then I stopped hearing from him. He never showed. None of his employees ever showed to fix this small tear in the vinyl. Months went by and my phone calls were not returned. When I finally did get ahold of Dave again, he denied responsibility for the tear but said he's still send someone out to fix it. Now, my one-year warranty on their work has expired, floor is still not fixed and I'm still waiting. They also do roofs, and landscaping (pretty much anything to make a buck) DO NOT hire these people! And make sure you see proper licensing credentials from anyone you do hire.
