On a Sunday we tried to replace these ourselves but after an hours or so we could not get the valve to stop leaking.  We knew we need to call a plumber.  We called Colony Plumbing and Calvin called back in under an hour.  I relayed what happened stating it was not an emergency but could he come this week to fix it.  He said he would come the next day mid morning (Monday). Calvin called to let me know he was on his way. Calvin fixed the one we tried and then installed the other one.  He replaced the supply lines which we did not know were bad.  The whole thing took less than an hour.  Calvin arrives on time, is friendly and works quickly. Calvin is a great plumber.

We found a dried water spot next to our drain in the basement.  We were worried the drain had backed up several days earlier. Calvin determined that we did not have a back up but rather our drain cover had rusted away underneath and pieces had fallen into the drain causing a clog.  Calvin took off the drain cover and cleared out the clog.  He affixed the hoses back to the drain and everything was fixed. 

Calvin arrived on time, is friendly and cleaned up the work area very well. I would highly recommend Colony Plumbing.

Calvin Colony is quite low-key; he seemed surprised that I would welcome a plumber with a handshake.  I watched him work and was impressed with his efficiency: there seemed to be no wasted motion.  The part he needed wasn't in his truck, so he immediately went to procure it.  He was quickly finished and checked to ensure that everything in the sink was working properly.

Calvin was on time, worked quickly and did a great job.

I called on a Monday.  The scheduler found a way to get the serviceman there by Wednesday by juggling appointments.  He was there on time and went to work.  He had the unit repaired and running in about an hour and a half.  I had been having problems with the furnace for almost a month and had called another company who were supposed to have been experts on this type of furnace.  They came out three times and spent hours.  When they made no progress they became defensive, rude, and unresponsive.  It was a pleasure to deal with a mature individual who knew exactly what he were doing.

When I called him, he told me he would be at my house in less than an hour. He was there in less than an hour. He evaluated the situation, and got the pump going again, but told me the pump had failed because of a motor problem, and recommended I replace it. Since the unit was 16 years old, I agreed with him!
He went and purchased the new unit and installed it quickly. The entire job was done in about an hour, and he had the pump running asap. He explained things I needed to watch out for, and answered all of my questions clearly.
He was professional, efficient, and very knowledgeable.

Calvin almost always answers his phone when I call. He came in and did the work quickly and efficiently. He is very professional and personable. I have used him other times for various projects and is my go to plumber. He also will respond any time of the day or week emergency or not. Excellent find!

Prompt, professional, excellent response time. Fixed both problems quickly. I have no hesistation recommending Calvin. A friend of mine had him fix a kitchen faucet set and was also very happy with him.

Calvin arrived right when he said he would be there. The removal of the old piping went without a hitch. The new piping was a pretty tight squeeze around some HVAC, but didn't present a problem. He installed a tee to allow us to easily add another gas appliance (i.e. fireplace) in the future, and ran piping to the water heater and furnace. We tested both to make sure the pilot lights hadn't gone out, and everything was working fine again. We were unable to do an effective leak check on the various fittings since bleeding the gas line prior to restarting the appliances led to some gas smell in the basement. He said to call back if we smelled any gas or other signs of a leak. I called about two weeks later because we found a leak outside and a smaller one inside, and Calvin came by the next morning, tightened those two fittings, and we've been in good shape ever since.

I called Colony. Calvin answered the phone. I told him what was going on. He asked a few pointed questions, then all of a sudden he said, and quot;Be there by 8:30 tomorrow morning.and quot; I was shocked. We set the appointment.
He was there at the appointed time.
He assessed the situation. He took the toilet off (and this was a plus for him), he told my husband, and quot;Whoever put the seal on this did a good job.and quot; He did not know it was my husband, and this endeared him to my husband immediately. He discovered that there was a crack in the phlange below the seal. He fixed it quickly.
While he was here, we had him look at three other things we had had other plumbers and quot;fixand quot; that still did not work. He fixed two of them quickly. The other is more complicated. We have a shower with a handle that helps maintain the temperature of the water exactly as chosen. It has been broken for several years. We had a plumber come out and look at it. He and quot;fixedand quot; it, but it never worked well and soon after did not work at all. Over the past several weeks, when we turn the water on, it is so hot, we have to let it run a few minutes before we can even get into the shower, or we will get burned. We cannot adjust it at all. We have been using another bathroom because of that. I mentioned this to Calvin, who looked at it. He quickly assessed what could be wrong. He then said he would need to order a part and would get back to us when the part came in.
Calvin was professional, very knowledgeable, and very kind. No doubt in my mind that I will use him in the future for all our plumbing needs and will recommend him highly to everyone who needs a plumber.

The house I owned at the time was built in 1998 by a builder I later learned cut corners and violated plumbing and electrical codes.
Calvin Colony corrected the original plumber's mistakes and charged far less than I would have expected for the time and effort he put into his work.
I was impressed with his knowledge and his willingness to do the job right.

I really liked the price. He was cheaper than what I found online.
