Lam Tree Service

When I got the estimate it was reasonable but I did not get an estimate in writing. The day of the trimming, the owner and an assistant showed up. The owner gave orders from the ground while the assistant climbed the tree and did the cutting. The two argued over how to cut the tree which I found unpleasant because they were yelling at each other. The trimming itself was adequate. However, when it came time to pay, the price was $200 more than had been estimated. I paid the amount but let him know that it was more than the estimated price. I don't know if the owner was dishonest or just disorganized and forgot what he had bid. If you hire this company get the bid in writing.

Excellent, in 3 hrs. the tree came down and everything was hauled away with no mess left behind.

Mark did an awesome job. He had done a wonderful job on an out of control crab apple tree in my first experience with Lam Tree Service and he could have easily declined this small job but knowing I was a repeat customer he just did it for me. This was awesome and I was very happy as a result. I highly recommend Lam Tree Service and have already told several of my friends that if you have trees to take care of that Mark and Lam Tree Service IS the place to call!

I am very satisfied with Mark's service.  The tree wrapped around a corner of the house, and it was located between the septic tank and the absorption field.  He and his helper removed the tree and hand carried the pieces to the trucks with no damage to the house or yard.  Mark recommended AAA Solutions for the stump grinding, and I was also happy with that service 2 days later.

I called for a couple estimates including Lam's and Mark Lam literally called me while examining the tree and during the conversation he casually mentioned "this is a beautiful tree."  When I heard that, it was the differentiator even though he was also cheaper overall.  He had an opening and could do it that day which was great.  
This crab apple tree was really a mess and had never been trimmed professionally let alone at all really overall.  It was hanging over the sidewalks and I could not mow under it without ducking. It had intertwined limbs too. 
When I saw his completed job my jaw dropped. It was that good. He took a frog and literally turned it into a prince!  
I even had a question after concerning tree sealer (if it was necessary) and he called me right back and left a voicemail with his recommendation.
I have already shown co-workers a picture and have already recommended Lam's Tree Service to others.
Needless to say, I highly recommend Lam's Tree Service!

He successfully removed the tree. The second lowest estimate for work was over $700, so the price from Lam ($450 before tax) was a lot better than the other places that I checked.
Getting up to that point left something to be desired though. When I left my first phone message, he got back to me the same day. He was able to get to the tree a few days later to give an estimate for the work.
When I got to the point where I wanted to hire him, though, I left him a few phone messages, and it took about a week for him to get back to me. When he did, he said we would try to schedule a time, and probably get back to me within a few weeks.
I called two weeks later after not hearing from him, and I think he just forgot that I wanted to hire him for the work. He came over the next day to cut down the tree before it snowed.
I realize that he might not be available at the exact moment I'm calling, but getting back within the same day to give a message that he received the message would be helpful.
I've had to have other repairs to my house recently, and compared to those companies, this was not very good service - when I called the companies for the other services, somebody answered the phone, and when I hung up the phone, I had a time scheduled for the service. When I called Mark, most of the time, it took a couple of days to get back, and even then, there was no definite answer of when the next step would happen. The other tree service places I called usually had worse service, such as not returning messages after repeated calling , so maybe this is typical of tree service companies.
Overall, if I need more tree service, I would probably at least check with Lam Tree Service

Overall, I was happy with the service. The price was great, he did a great job cleaning up and did the whole job in one day. It did take a while for him to call me back after my initial call, but if you're not in a hurry, Lam Tree Service is great.

I called him on Tuesday and he was here that afternoon to give me an estimate. He listened to what I wanted and gave me a very reasonable estimate on the spot. I gave him the go - ahead to do the job when he could fit it in, even if I wasn't home. When I got home for lunch the next day the trees were already down and they were just finishing cleaning up! All that was left was a tiny bit of sawdust. Not only had he done what I asked, he also removed all the dead little bottom branches on the 2 remaining pine trees and did not step on a single plant in my gardens!

I am very satisfied with Mark's service. He is a bit hard to get in contact with since he is quite busy during the fall. However, it is worth the wait!

They removed the squirrel feeder and decor from the tree before taking it down. Raked the yard and removed the saw dust to our satisfaction. Quick, efficient and thorough. We will use this service again.

Mark Lam was unbelievable! They called me back the same day and it was late in the afternoon, he wasn't too far away and he could come over. What we wanted him for is our satellite dish was a mess and figured the signal was being blocked because of the trees. He did cut down a couple tree's, but that didn't turn out to be the problem. The satellite just needed to be adjusted. He ended up crawling up on the roof and fixed it for us. I was very pleased with his services and I'm sure Direct TV would have charged us much more for just moving the dish. I would highly recommend him to anybody that asked me.
